Being healthy is the key to fitness, says Hiten Tejwani

Fitness plays a major role in our lives; staying fit and healthy has become essential these days and the pressure is on for celebrities. Staying in shape is a must for those in the public eye – so, it is time to see what they are doing to win the battle of the bulge. For our Tellywatch column on fitness, Hiten Tejwani talks about fitness and healthy living.

My workout regime…I work out four days a week for one-and-a-half hours each day. I do a combination of both cardio and weights and concentrate more on weights every alternate day.

My happiness quotient…there is nothing that I follow specifically but I believe in just being happy.

My daily diet…I eat almost everything – I avoid rice, cold drinks and sweets. And I make sure to have a heavy breakfast and lunch. I keep my dinner light and finish it by seven in the evening.

On a rainy day, my idea of a workout would be…since the weather would be quite pleasant, I would do a combination of cardio and weights.

My idea of relaxation…reading and listening to music.

Size zero to you is…it is something that is not necessary; the point is to be healthy and nothing else.

I crave for…nothing.

A lifestyle change I'm trying to make…to be happy come what may.

Fitness mantra…work out regularly, do simple exercises, stay healthy, avoid overeating and most of all, stick to your diet as far as possible and burn it off if you relax.
