Ranjini gives the envelope to Chandra. Chandra is surprised and opens it while Ranjini watches. Chandra asks how this happens. Ranjini says her mother may have received the enveloped and forgotten about it. Chandra says how can her mother do that and wants to appoint someone responsible to take care of the matters at home. Chandra calls attorney and asks him to come see her. She then asks Ranjini to go to the office. Ranjini says she had pretended to be her sister Neela and now that had put Chandra in trouble. She asks Chandra if she should just surrender to the police saying she is responsible and not Chandra. Chandra tells her not make such a mistake and that she will handle the problem herself and walks away. Ranjini thinks to herself that she is the one causing all this touble for Chandra and smiles.
Manohar's wife, Gayathri is sleeping. Manohar goes to her and wakes her up and tries to be all lovey dovey. Gayathri tells him not to disturb her as she is sleepy. Manohar still tries to pacify his wife and apologizes but Gayathri says it is easy to apologize. Manohar says he told her not to go to work as they are not having financial problems and she is not bored at home. He says Gayathri has so much to do and does not need to go to work. He does not want her to be ordered around by others at work. He tells her that he has a lot of problem at work and wants peace of mind when he returns. He says if both of them went to work the children will be left alone and things will start going wrong. He tells his wife he wants his wife to be at home with a smiling face when he returns. Gayathri gets up and leaves the room without a word.
Karthik is looking for something and is in a hurry. He calls for Meena and tells her to get up. Meena tells him she is very tired as she stayed up late to study and wants to sleep. Karthik asks if she saw his wallet. Meena says to look for it himself. Karthik leaves her and comes back looking for oil and powder. Meena tells him to go look for it. Meena gets up. Aishwarya enters her room and says she came there as she was going to visit her friend there. Meena gets up and goes into the bathroom. Aishwarya sleeps in her place. Karthik enters and wakes his sister up again and is surprised to see Aishwarya and tells her to get up. Meena comes there and Aishwarya says she came to see Meena and he is chasing her out. Meena says Aishwarya is her friend and for him to mind his own business. After Karthik leaves, Meena asks if Aishwarya really came to see her or her brother. Aishwarya tells Meena she loves Karthik very much and wants Meena to help her to make Karthik understand and Meena says she will help.
Rajalakshmi comes out of a building with a handbag and gives some money to the doorman. A man watches her and as she is openning the door, the man snatches the bag and runs. Another person chases him and catches up with him. It is a lady who beats the man up and takes the bag to Rajalakshmi and hand it to her. Rajalakhsmi wants to give her a reward but the lady tells her no and that it is her hobby to help people and tells the old lady to leave. After Rajalakhsmi leaves, the lady calls the thief and tells him thank you for acting as asked and pays him.
The lawyer meets Chandra and is told about the charges on her. Lawyer is very surprised and asked what happened to the first notice. Chandra says that her mother had forgotten about it. Chandra asks if she has to appear in court. The lawyer says she has to and he will handle everything else. Chandra gets mad saying it would be bad publicity for her but the lawyer reminds her about Ranjini's case and how it went because Ranjini was not able to appear. He advised Chandra to appear and says he will take care of everything else and leaves. Chandra thinks. THODARUM.
