Apparently KJo's new film with Saif-Kareena-Vivek is based on the exact same script as Yashraj's Kabir Khan directed 'New York' starring John-Katrina-Neil Mukesh.
Both are "inspired" by 1999 thriller Arlington Road https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arlington_Road

well kjo has to think ova den coz newyork is all completed now ..infact its promos r abt to go on air soon...
i knew dis wuld b a remake of a hollywood movie..but never mind..all da thrillers r normally inspired frm hollywood but yes dey r well handled..take race for an instance..inspired by good bye lover but i think newyork will keep me glued to the screens jst da way race did..i hope it gets released in pakistan..
n frm da promo of newyork neil n john seem to ve a balanced role..i dun think dat wuld eva happen wid saif n vivek.

KJO and Yash raj get on well i think and if they are making a film from the same script i am sure they will be different...because inspired means anything both could be complete different takes on it.

There have been many films with same story line in the past............so, lets see which one the audience prefers........

This war thing could also be a publicity stunt too, anyway I'm not a big Saifeena fan so don't care.........

what i dont get is isn't kjos movie my name is khan on terrorism so how many movies is he going to make on terrorism, anyways even if kjos movie in similiar to new york, i thnk new york will be better because it looks really good in the trailers and im not too excited by kjos cast of saif-kareena and vivek, whereas new york has a interesting and fresh cast.

KJo has signed Saif-Kareena-Vivek for one directed by someone else for Dharma productions and then he is making MNIK with SRK and Kajol himself.

Oh wait! Vivek is getting a role from K-Jo. Well, I hope for the sake of his career things work out for the best.
