Anita Hassanandani has not been called to shoot for Mahabharat for a long while

| Looks like Anita Hassanandani, Ekta Kapoor's blue-eyed girl, is out of meaningful work. After having played the lead role in Balaji Telefilms' Kavyanjali and key roles in some of Balaji's most popular serials, the actress is now reduced to sharing the stage with Sambhavna Seth and Mink on a dance reality show. Wonder what happened to her role in Ekta Kapoor's Kahaani Humaaray Mahabharat Ki? Wasn't she chosen to play Draupadi?Says Anita, "Actually I have not been shooting with them. We just shot for first teaser episode where they showed the vastraharan. After that they have not called me for shooting." But it has been more than two months since Ekta introduced the Pandavas and Kauravas in the show, but there is still no sign of Anita. Anita clarifies, "My track has not come in the show yet. Right now I am not shooting for them and only doing Dancing Queen. I prefer to do one thing at a time, by choice. As soon as this show gets over I will take up something else." Something else? Not very convincing. Anita's last hit show as a lead on TV was Kavyanjali. After the show went off air in 2007, she was brought in the fold of the Virani family of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. But that role too ended abruptly and she is not seen in any Balaji serial. |
