'Shaadi ya 'Barbaadi' episode?

Hi guys!
Apologise to the viewers living in India in advance coz I know you guys have watched and discussed this show last week itself. But those of us in the US, UK and Canada just watched the Shaadi songs/Nihira-Hema tie episode yesterday.

What a dreadful, boring show!!! I have never seen a bunch of less enthusiastic shaadi singers in my life. The group song, "Mehendi laga ke rakhna" was a joke...with the contestants singing lifelessly and moving like cardboard cut out figures on stage! The inidividual songs were also pretty ordinary. Shaadi songs are fun on a movie screen because of all the colour, life, dancing/choreography, joy on screen...but when the songs are sung on stage by nervous contestants individually, they completely run out of steam. The producers of the show should have thought about that before introducing
this theme.

Even the mentors looked like they were attending a funeral! ID had an angry expression throughout...justifiably so perhaps coz of Nihira..but that didn't help the show any. HR..though he has the most reason to be happy with his contestants doing well, also lookeed angry and sulky (have you guys noticed that he has gotten progressively more unhappy over the last couple of shows?), and AS was the best...he dozed off openly on stage!

When the final elimination/or non-elimination/tie thing came about, I was glad that the members on this forum had discussed the show beforehand...you see...I was FAST ASLEEP!

the thurs episode all the singers hardly concentrate

Yes Thursdays episode was boring. None sang very well. Friday will be goos. Especially Debu. He sang to well that audiance started shouting Once More. He was too good.

Hope so! i really disliked the Thursday (in our case Monday) episode. But if the contestants have difficulty concentrating..then why have them sing? It is getting quite tedious to see the same format week after week. need to change things up a bit.

that sounds more like it! What is the theme for the show? I think that makes all the difference.

Excellent observation , glad you mentioned it. Mondays episode was really boring. I thought something was wrong with me becoz i was not enjoying it at all. But looks like nobody did. The contestants were so gaudily dressed and made up , maybe it was making them uncomfortable, too. I was all drained out and tired by the time the show ended. 🤢

Also you r absolutely right , they have to change the format . They make them sing on Mon and Tues ., Thats a bit too much. Maybe thats the reason the performance is going down. they shud just announce the results and let the contestants relax and enjoy the show on Mondays and then perform on tues.

Thank you Mamta! Am glad to see someone feel the same way. Really feel they are dragging the singing part ofn too long. One day a week is enough!

twinkle sang so bad and hemani was the best today and she should win this contest and i am not impressed.

Do you mean the "Taare hain baraati" song Twinkle sang? I thought she did a great job singing that coz it is a hard song to sing. Overall, Himani will always have an edge over Twnkle coz she has a wonderful, rich voice...but twinkle isn't too bad either!
