I totally agree with you!!! I was very bored watching last night's show. I think overall the morale of the singers and mentors was low !!!

The group song was very poorly executed as you mentioned. All the contestants looked very uncomfortable… either it was the heavy clothes, or just the "mood"…

Even the mentors looked like they were attending a funeral! ID had an angry expression throughout...justifiably so perhaps coz of Nihira..but that didn't help the show any. HR..though he has the most reason to be happy with his contestants doing well, also lookeed angry and sulky (have you guys noticed that he has gotten progressively more unhappy over the last couple of shows?), and AS was the best...he dozed off openly on stage!

The mentors… well, you did a good job describing their demeanor. I could justify ID and AS's being upset, but I couldn't understand why HR looked so unhappy in general. Something's gone wrong with HR these days. I remember how much he praised Irfan, Sharib and Ujjaini on the day they sang "Ae chand…", "Laagi tumse…" and "Mausam ki…" respectively… or even Sanchali when she sang "Gustakiyaan"… I wonder what the problem is ?? Anyway, I'll try to give him the benefit of doubt, considering how nice he was for 75% of the show…

You've hit the nail on the head. Twinkle sings quite well, but does need to work on the tone. Does she sing better than Nihira overall... I dont think so...but give her an Asha Bhonsle/Burman song....she sure can sing it better than Nihira coz she has so much life in her voice.

Am glad someone else was equally disappointed with the show. Maybe it was the clothes...but I also think singers are sensitive people, probably very aware of the atmosphere in the studio...and I think to a large extent that is ruled by the mentors. If the mentors cheered up and focussed more on the show, think the contestants will perk up too!

As for HR, he is getting increasingly bizarre...the excessive attention to Vineet, ignoring the other two, wearing a zombie expression...very wierd. He was alright to begin with.

Thanks for the compliment, but it is quite undesrved! Even if i were to admit to being a psychologist, they are usually not the most popular bunch of people, hardly likely to cast a spell!

Yeah especially in mondays episode when paresh , ujjaini and vinit were on stage , hr came with that turban cloth and was praising him sooo much and begging the public to vote him , while paresh and ujjaini were just standing there .I'm sure they feel orphaned and unwanted in HR's gharana. I felt so bad for both of them . Why cant he spare a few words of encouragement and praise for them too. that was real bad manners on HR's part.

True. That is why I feel the show needs some impartial judges as well. By now, the mentors have their own favourites and "pets"...they rarely comment on the performance, for the day, but more on what they believe to be the potential of their pet!

As for HR, bad manners defintely, but it also reflects so badly on him...he looks quite absurd doing what he does.

It hasn't been aired in UK, besides I've already lost all interest in SRGMP.
The only reason of being here is that I get to interact with nice people like you.

For the first time in watching SRGMP, I felt like it was dragging on and on. I was glad Himani sang a sad song because at least it broke the monotony of the typical shaadi songs. I think all the contestants were just really tired too.
Regarding Twinkle, I think she has the ability to be a very good singer and, yes, she can do those Ashaji numbers really well.

True Sandeepa. I too got bored for the first time..otherwise, i'm always happy when the show continues the extra ten minutes...not last night!

Himani is always a delight to listen to. With regards to Twinkle, I'm glad there are people out there who havent completely dismissed Twinkle as a non-singer.
