LAFZ HI NAHI…
They came out of the shopping mall, holding hands, as if holding on to their lives, with huge bags, happy smiles on their faces.
They loved to go shopping, more like she loved to go shopping and he liked to take her, just noticing her do all the purchasing, selecting things for him and stuff like that makes him happy.
They never really argued like normal couples do nor did they disagree much…they seemed to understand each other a lot…………..they never needed words.
It was very unlikely that of all the people in the world, these two would fall for each other, that too at first sight….quite filmy!!! But it was how they met.
He had gone to amritsar to attend one of his friend's marriage. The reserved guy that he was, nobody was really expecting him to turn up….but as fate would have it he did come and probably for the best.
She had come to the wedding too as her cousin was the groom…she was enjoying every bit of being the 'ladkewaale ka rishtedaar….'
It was sometime during the ceremony…ah yes when the groom tied the mangalsutra on his bride…when all the relatives gathered around to shower them with floral blessings that she bumped on to him….they stared at each other's eyes, for quiet sometime accepting the floral blessings unknowingly holding hands when suddenly someone broke the trance…it was her brother, frantically searching for his chutki…when he did find her with him…he frowned and then took her away….they dint speak anything that time…but they needn't either……….they never needed words.
Their marriage was a simple affair. He went thru a lot of effort to locate the pretty relative of his friend, very unlikely for him though….and once he found out her wherabouts he lost no time in informing his parents…they were a bit taken aback initially as they never expected their only son to decide his wedding on his own and that too with someone like her….however they saw that he was hopelessly in love with the girl, they finally heeded to his wish…they did not speak to each other b4 the wedding…they saw glimpses of each other here and there and were contended….they needn't talk as they never needed words.
Many of his friends on hearing about his marriage, once, including his brother in law had said that this marriage had very less chances…"communication is the key" they had advised, but he refused, he knew that theirs would be a marriage, a relation which would stand tall against all odds….they need not communicate with words to make it work…they never needed words.
It was indeed true, they had been married for two years now, happy in their own world, no intruders, nobody passing comments as to this was a mistake "u could've found someone better" nothing bothered them, they were just plain happy…sometimes they wondered how they managed it…they never talk I mean they dint need to but still understood each other so perfectly…they may not be the perfect couple u could find in this world but they were sort of connected together, they were more like soulmates.
He loved music…he would play the piano often for her…though she couldn't understand the chords or the rhythm, she enjoyed it….she enjoyed his enthusiasm, his fingers moving in a particular pattern, she knew music was his soul and she wished she could cherish it too…but all things aren't meant to be…but he did not complain either. He liked the way she used to watch his fingers move, sometimes she'd come and stand beside him and stroke his hair fondly and he would lean against her….they would remain like that for hours…their relationship was more to do with the heart and less with words…in fact they never needed words.
Now as they came out of the shopping mall slowly moving towards his car, she sighed happily. He turned back enquired as if to what it was but then without her having to say anything he understood, as always.
It was about to rain….
She loved rains. He does not 'love' rains but doesn't hate them either. He would be happy to watch her play, like a lil baby who received a candy.
She smiled at him cutely as if asking permission to get drenched…how could he refuse her, he smiled back in approval…she squeeled in delight and the rain poured as if listening her plea…..she twirled around with arms wide open, getting completely drenched by the second, but she dint care…neither did he…as long as she was happy, he would be too.
She stopped midway, looked at him mischievously and pulled him towards her for a dance. He did protest at first but gave in to her. They danced around like complete lunatics…yes lunatics in love…forgetting their surroundings.
He saw some curious faces who took shelter for the rain, in the nearby shops exclaim what a perfect couple they make. He smiled hearing that comment….but she dint hear it , she couldn't, she was not gifted that special power by mother nature…she could neither talk nor hear….
She looked at him and raised an eyebrow enquiring as to what makes him smile…he just shook his head, letting the water droplets from his hair wet her already drenched face and smiled. When she stared at him again demanding an explanation…he just smiled again and allowed himself to engage in a kiss with her…she was astounded at first but then smiled and obliged to him….that is all the explanation she needed from him…nothing more nothing less, nothing in writing nor in words….they never needed words.
The End.
So how was it??????????
