The frightful three days of terror that Mumbai went through is something that hasn't sunk in as yet. For the past few days there is news and investigations on various news channels that keep reminding you of the loss and the angst of the Mumbaikars. Amidst all this the TV strike has been called off and a fresh round of episodes of the soaps has started.
So, here's the debate. Are the Mumbaikars willing to look at entertainment and take a break from the gory details of the terror attacks? "It won't be easy for any one of us to take the disaster out of our minds even for a second. So, I'm not expecting sky high TRP's and honestly at this moment I'm not even thinking about TRP's. But I'm sure the soaps will help the channel surfers take a break between updating themselves on the events," says producer Ekta Kapoor.

Being a Mumbaikar, Kapoor is shaken beyond belief by this turn of events. "If I and my shows succeed in getting a smile on people's face at this time of crisis, then I'll consider myself a success."

Anupama Mandloi, Sr. Creative Director, STAR Plus says, "Returning into the lives of our viewers after a three week hiatus leaves us open to some amount of unpredictable response from the viewers. The current environment has also left most people grappling with a sense of unease, anger and suppressed grief. TV will always offer the escape route to many but it remains to be seen how TV viewing will pan out this week onward."

Shows like Balika Vadhu, Kis Des Mei Hai Mera Dil, Jai Shri Krishna etc have kick started in full fledge. This was something that 60% of the Indians were waiting for but now the question is whether anybody is still excited. "I'm sure people want to move on, having said that I don't mean that they want to forget about the terror blasts," states Shweta Tiwari.

The woman's brand new show Jaane Kya Baat Hui premiered on Colors last night. "I'm not sure whether people are in the frame of mind to watch TV shows but if they do then we'll consider ourselves lucky."
So, how many Mumbaikars (and Indians) are willing to move on? "Not many. I'm sure," says Ekta Kapoor.

In which of her shows has see shown something positive to bring a smile on our lips...the show we loved is also ruined because of her twisted brain and un-creative creatives....
