Although i don't really buy that but it was quite understandable what he meant...He should have made the 'metaphor' more clear. The way he wrote it did seem like it was done in actuality....
He's right that we don't know the position he's in...but at he same time he doesn't know the position of the common man either. If he, someone with massve security, is not feeling secured, then what about those poor people sleeping out on the streets? Are they not MORE vulnerable?
I know he was trying to make a point and reach out to the youth to make a difference, but his approach should've been a bit different. His approach was self-absorbed.
BY the way, didn't he say he doesn't care if he's ridiculed before making the gun statement? So, what's the matter? why is there a problem now? he knew his statement was very controversial.

I agree. His sentiment is understandable....but the way he chose to express it was strange....It would have been better if he had avoided the gun comment completely and just expressed his views on the situation in general.....and this isn't about him being targetted for being a celebrity.....if any other average person had written this on a public platform viewable to all, the reaction would've been the same....no matter what the situation, a statement like "I slept with a gun under my pilllow' will always be controversial.
