My reaction to tonight's (U.S.) episode..

Those of you in India, please bear with me. We in the U.S. only got to see Shaadi wale gaane episode tonight...

The start-off was dull. I hate when they have the singers lip sync and dance around. It wastes so much time. just get on with the singing, this is not "Nach Baliye". But I thought all the contestants looked very beautiful all dressed up in fancy Indian gear.

Twinkle--I like how ID warned her not to get too excited after she got the green. I thought she started off her song nicely but she quickly lost steam and was not able to control her breathing. She should not have attempted a Jaspinder Naurla song again after the debacle with "Pyar to hona hi thha".

Debojit--He was putting me to sleep today. Very dull performance, which is a shame because he has a really nice voice and can sing well when he really puts his heart into it.

I liked Paresh's reaction when he got the green. He didn't jump up and down and go nuts, he was calm and totally chill.

Once again HR intruded on stage and gave Vinit that shawl thing to use as a head covering. I'm really sick of HR's topi act. It's gettings so old. Notice how he was going ga-ga all over Vinit once again and then to save face quickly said, "Oh yeah, all three will do well." Grrrr! 😡

Ujjaini--I thought she sang well today and reminded me a lot of Alka Yagnik.

Paresh--I thought he also sang well, but noticed that he pronounced his "L" sound with a slight accent.

Vinit--That huge thing he tied on his head was very distracting and annoying. I wonder...if HR thinks covering Vinit's head brings him luck, I guess he doesn't have much faith in him purely for his singing ability. he always needs to use some kind of so-called good luck charm for Vinit. If HR really had faith in him, he wouldn't do all this topi drama. I closed my eyes and tried to picture Vinit's voice on SRK or Saif (since he sang "Mahi ve") and just couldn't. I tried to picture Vinit's voice on any of the younger heroes and couldn't. he sounds like a kid. Today he sounded like he was doing a school talent competiton.

I appreciated Hemachandra's reaction to getting a yellow. He said he was glad that it wasn't Himani who got a yellow. 👏

Himani--I thought she was great as usual, but today she seemed to have less control over her breath. Still, her performnace was really good. While JN and Sunidhi songs suit her, I do think she is capable of singing for any heroine today. Her voice would look gteat on Rani Mukherji. i'm very happy that she got the highest votes, even though I hate the public voting.

When Shaan asked for reaction from HR about Himani getting highest votes, he did more blaa blaa blaa-ing about Vinit. God forbid he can say one nice thing about Himani or or any other contestant except Vinit! 🤢 poor Vinit is a good singer and will get ruined by HR.

Hemachandra--He sounded very good, except for one little slip (can't remember what it was right now).

Nihira--Sounded nice as usual, but seemed to have low energy today (maybe due to nervousness over getting yellow?)

Rajiv--Poor guy was just awful today. Whether it was nervousness or just his lack of training, even Shaan was not shy about commenting on it.

When Rajiv, Nihira, and Hema were singing, Rajiv and Nihira messed up their cues and were a bit lifeless, but Hema's energy was great.

Even Rajiv looked shocked to get a green.

It was obvious that the tie between Nihira and Hemachandra was fixed. What made me believe this even more were HR's emphatic comments that there was no manipulations in voting. I trust him the least among all the mentors. Even if he promised Paresh and Ujjaini songs I wouldn't believe it .

I liked Shaan's closing comments about voting: besiacally he said don't vote for someone for some other reason than their singing. That is, this is not a popularity contest. He said that the day Sharib was eliminated too. I think this time he said it with Rajiv in mind, meaning Rajiv is getting janta's votes obviosuly for other reasons than his singing.

Funny observation: when the tie was announced, the camera panned on all the other finalists. There was a shot of Twinkle clapping her hands and jumping up and down. She must've stepped on Debojit's foot bcause he tapped her on the shoulder and made an ishara like, 'Whoa girl, watch it!" 😆

I actually felt sorry for Vinit trying to find his way on the stage with that huge racoon on his head!!

I thought Debo/Hema sang well among the boys and Ujaini/Nihira sang well among the girls.

Did you guys also feel that HR was trying to make a point by saying "there was not even a difference of one vote among the contestents(Nihira and Hema), there was no manipulation etc..."?
Also, I did not like the way Nihira looked at all, with her hair up and so much make up, she looked so sweet and homely(like her Mom) when they let her be herself.
Same with boys, they should stop all the neon color suits on Hema and do not dress up Vinit in such baggy clothes, he was so lost in those clothes, on top of it that big turban on his head!!

I just watched the show, and it was disappointing today. The singing was not that great, but mostly the morale was low. The fact that Nihira and Hema got a yellow card seemed to hang around like a black cloud…

I'm sure ID knew from the beginning that the news for his contestants was not good. Otherwise, he wouldn't have said that he might have the same reactions as Jatinji had last week when Sharib went out...

The mentor who should have been the most happy was HR… all three of his candidates got green cards… Vineet has been on top almost every time I think, except the first week when Debojeet was on top. Even with everything in his favor, I couldn't believe that HR didn't have the grace to congratulate Himani for being the first girl to top the votes. What's happened to him ??? Is his desire to win so great that he can't say one good word about any other singer ???

I agree with you. I feel sorry for Vineet. Right now I'm trying my best to separate my good feelings towards Vineet from the great disappointment I feel for his mentor… (and that's an understatement) !!!!!!!!!!!

It was annoying when HR came to vinit and gave him that scarf thing..instead of his topi..and paresh and ujjani just wathcinh...him praise his favorite VINIT...no other mentors are obsessive over their contestants!..that was very rude of Adesh to ignore himani..while shaan asked for his reaction...geezz these mentors are nuts! and for vinit..i feel bad for him cuz i think ppl are getting irritated with his commments and such so this might effect vinit.

Btw Sandeepa..regarding Hemachandra's performance he slipped during "kabhie to kissi ki dulhania banogi.." part..
