There was a time, when this forum was so peaceful. I remember that I myself made some posts expressing my happiness over peaceful this forum is.
But, now I find that there are too many quarrels going on. Sigh!š
Please follow the following guidelines: -
1. Follow the codes of conduct of IF and the forum guidelines strictly.
2. Remember that this forum is for a serial, which is based on scriptures, which are revered by many in India and abroad. These scriptures are very close to their heart. Therefore, be very careful about not hurting anybody's sentiments.
3. If you know from your experience that some particular kinds of posts create troubles, please do not make those kinds of posts again.
4. In case of any problems/suggestions related to the forum, PM(viewbie of Ramayan forum) me or Yummys(moderator of Ramayan forum).
5. Remember that different people have right to disagree with each other but they also have the right to have different opinions.
6. Give benefit of doubt. When somebody makes a post, and if you are sure that the post was made with malafide intentions, then report immediately. But if it can be taken in both positive and negative ways and if it does not violate the forum guidelines and the IF's code of conduct, then please take it in a positive sense.
It is true that, by doing so, there is a possibility of letting a culprit go scot-free. But if you do the opposite, then there is a possibility of criticizing an innocent. It is far worse to criticize an innocent than to not criticize a culprit.
7. It is possible that some member makes a post, which can have unwanted consequences, but that member does not have any bad intentions. If you see any such post, then explain to that member politely why that post should not be made.
8. The point 7 should not be taken as an excuse by members. They should not think that they will always be explained things politely. First time they do something wrong, then it is possible that they did unintentionally. But, if they keep repeating the same mistake, then it is quite apt in assuming that they do it on purpose and will be dealt with strictly.
9. Please do not compare between Old Ramayan and New Ramayan. You may argue that healthy comparison is good. But it is important to be kept in mind that if you really want, you can find positive and negative points in both Ramayans. Each one is unique in itself. Moreoever, I can tell from my experience that whenever any comparison has been done between the old Ramayan and the new Ramayan, it has always resulted into quarrels. So, it is better to avoid comparisons.
