VARAH-NARAD gt rid off curse:Aajtak & SaharaSamay

On 24^th of November ,2008 (MONDAY) on aaj tak news in the show Dharma at 3 PM a documentary on the curse given to VARAH AVATAR OF LORD VISHNU was shown & the place where VARAH AVATAR OF LORD VISHNU got rid off of his curse .

The story is of a holy place named SORO- a village/small town in the district of ALLAHABAD ,UTTAR PRADESH !!!!

HIRANYAKSHA (the monster) was a BRAHMIN by birth , Lord Vishnu took the Varah Avatar to kill hiranyaksha ,Hiranyaksha who took the whole Earth to the patal lok under the sea ,LORD VISHNU took the VARAH AVATAR (head of a swine & body of human) & saved MOTHER EARTH from the clutches of Hiranyaksha as only the swine has the power to dug inside the marsh & the filthy stuff ,Hiranyaksha made mother Earth captive at a filthy & marshy place inside the sea in patal lok .

BUT killing a BRAHMIN is an unforgivable crime accor. To the Vedas & puranas ,as soon as VARAH AVARAT of LORD VISHNU killed Hiranyaksha ,the whole body of Varah became black as Hiranyaksha was a Brahmin by birth ,

VARAH had to get rid off his curse ,so he took holy dip in almost all the holy waters on EARTH but still cud not get rid off his curse ,the black colour of his body was as it is ,then VARAH took suggestion from RISHI VASHITHA ,who suggested VARAH to go back to his place of origin ,the place where VARAH AVATAR first appeared on Earth ,that place IS IN SORO ,

RISHI VASHISTHA suggested Varah to take a dip in the pond known as chandrakoop (which was dugged by chandrama ,the moon GOD himself) ,there he will get rid off his curse ,

VARAH did the same ,he took dip in the holy pond known as CHANDRAKOOP & got rid off his curse ,after getting rid off his curse VARAH worshipped BATUKNATH DEVTA (BATUKNATHA DEVTA temple is besides chandrakoop) , VARAH then got rid off his BRAHMA HATYA curse forever !!!!

Then LORD VISHNU had to get rid off his varah form ,so at the suggestion of rishi VASHISTHA ,VARAH dugged a hole with his head & that hole got filled with river GANGA ,so this river GANGA came to Earth MUCH BEFORE THE GANGES brought to Earth BY BHAGIRATH !!!!!!

Then VARAH got salvation in that hole which was filled by river GANGES ,LORD VISHNU got rid off his VARAH form by taking a plunge into the RIVER GANGA ,which came on Earth to give MOKSHA (SALVATION) TO VARAH FORM OF LORD VISHNU as LORD VISHNU did BRAHMA HATYA & it was not easy for him to get rid off his varah form !!!!!

When LORD VISHNU got rid off of his VARAH form ,he gave AASHIRVAAD(blessing ) to RIVER GANGA that in this yuga u emerged from my head again u will emerge in treat yuga from my TOE ,since u emerged from my head I give u this vardaan (boon) that u will be the holiest ,purest & the greatest river ,u will be worshipped first among all rivers !!!! that is why GANGA RIVER is considered & worshipped as the greatest & holiest river on Earth !!!!!

Thorugh out the year ,devotees from all over the INDIA come to this palce SORE & take a holy dip in the holy chandrakoop pond & the river GANGA (which also flows here ,which emerged from the head of varah ) ,after taking the holy dip ,all the devotees then do pooja of devta Batuknath .

It is said that if u worship here for half day , after taking a dip in the holy chandrakoop pond & THE GANGES , you will get the result & blessings of worship /tapasya of 60 thousand years !!!!!

Here the SHRADDHA ritual(giving salvation to the souls of the forefathers) is also done.

PLACE where NARAD MUNI got rid off his MONKEY FACED CURSE.

On news channel SAHARA SAMAY (Uttarpradesh ) a documentary was shown at 4 PM on 24th NOV(monday),abt the place where NARAD MUNI got rid off his curse of monkey face .

We all know that NARAD MUNI got a curse & became MONKEY FACED ,NARAD muni was very sad ,then he went to RISHI VASISHTHA what to do to get rid off his curse ,RISHI VASHISTHA suggested NARAD muni to take a holy dip at the SANGAM POINT (meeting point) of RIVER NARMADA & RIVER TAWA ,this place is in HOSHINGABAD in the STATE MADHYA PRADESH ,abt 5-6 km from HOSHINGABAAD the sangam point of RIVER NARMADA & RIVER TAWA comes ,

NARAD MUNI took a holy dip at this sangam point & got rid off his curse ,since then this SANGAM place is considered holy place where everyone cud get rid off his diseases even un curable diseases by taking holy dip & doing the pooja of RIVER NARMADA & RIVER TAWA .

It is also said that there was once a king named MAKARDHWAJ (not hanumanji's son) he & his wife got a curse by some rishi & they both became monkey faced ,MAKARDHWAJ & HIS WIFE also got rid off their curse at this SANGAM PLACE !!

Then an interview of a devotee was shown ,he said that his mother was suffering from cancer ( a wound on her body became cancerous )& doctors gave all hopes,then he came here with his mother ,his mother took a holy dip at this sangam place of river NARMADA & RIVER TAWA & they both did pooja of river narmada & river tawa at the banks of this sangam ,slowly his mother was perfectly fine ,that wound started becoming dry & finally his mother was cured of this fatal disese of cancer .

Devotees take holy dip & then do pooja of the 2 rivers by offering a coconut garland to both the rivers !!! ppl also put red flags at the banks of this sangam place !!!(a part of the rituals ) .
