Its a Nightmare here in Mumbai...All Schools,Colleges and Majority of the offices r shut over here..Even though the main problem is in South Mumbai but entire Maharashtra is affected..theres terror among the people and everyone is scared to even leave the house or travel in some vehicle thinking what if the next moment the vehicle blows away..
Few terrorists hv escaped in some car I believe and nobody knows where r they residing right now in Maharashtra
Firing is still going on in Taj and Oberoi hotels and nobody know how many terrorists r still alive over there
More than 100 dead and more than 200 injured..A pathetic situation here😭
I stay in the outskirts of Mumbai but I can feel the panic thats been driving the nation crazy right now...
Its one of the biggest terrorist attacks ever took place in India..
My full condolences to those 11 officers who gave their lives in this shootout..I guess 2 commandos r also dead..May all their soul rests in piece and may God give some piece of mind to those terrorists who r just killing innocent lives in the name of Jihaad and Allah..
Lets all please salute the bravery of those officers and Commandos who r still fighting for us and who hv already given their lives in this fight against terror👏👏👏

Ashok Kamte: A daring officer and excellent negotiator

Daring, but with an exceptionally cool head made Ashok Kamte an excellent negotiator in crisis situations -- a quality for which he was summoned late Wednesday night to deal with terrorists holed up in Mumbai buildings.

Kamte, a 1989 batch IPS officer of Maharashtra cadre, who died fighting terrorists near Mumbai's Metro cinema, was one of the brightest of his batch, and one of the few officers who dared to take on challenges directly.

Having undergone special training for negotiating hostage situations, Kamte was chosen to tackle one of the worst crisis faced by the financial capital of the country.

The Mumbai Police specially summoned him to undertake the operation at Metro Cinema near Cama Hospital in the city where he laid down his life fighting terrorists along with encounter specialist Vijay Salaskar.

Deputy Commissioner of Police in Mumbai, Kamte was a key officer in the state police. He had also served as the Commissioner of Solapur where he became a hero among locals.

With over 400 fans on his Orkut profile, Kamte enjoyed a lot of respect during his tenure at Solapur.

"A cop that turned Solapur from a wrong city to the right one. The person who every responsible Solapurkar liked and loved. This community has been created to pay the respect and gratitude that he deserves," wrote one person on the social networking web site.

Survived by his wife and two children, Kamte had a panache for body building during his college days. His friends at the IPS academy also remember him as a great athlete and one of the brightest cadets of his batch.

How you are so sure tht those terrorists are muslims??? do u have n e prove...Indian Govt. is yet to give conclusions abt who is invloved in mumbai attacks...well i really don't want to bring religion or n e indo-pak war here but still plz don't jump on conclusions base on false assumptions..as it can hurt muslims member's feelings...
