Purab and Jassi

Had a quick question for you all.
I was reading Rumis post....'When Armaan read Jassis diary'. Here it is mentioned that Nandini is aware of Jassi and Purabs friendship (whatever you may call).
But in Mauritius, why did she not reveal Purabs name but insisted on calling him special friend in front of Jassi....
