but I don't find Sam and Gunjan at all like Raj & Simran; Simran's character was very bubbly and extrovert while Gunjan is a major introvert. Simran going on a trip ALONE with her friends just to live her life is something I could never picture Gunjan doing. Simran was more of a normal girl who wore western clothes when needed and Indian when needed while Gunjan would never think of wearing western on a normal day basis. Simran read books for leisure once in a while; Gunjan on the other hand can't think of anything else to do in her life. Simran was not shy while Gunjan is the definition of Shy.

Raj and Sam no way! agreed both are good in their own way but Raj had this certain charm (no not because it was SRK, just the character) Sammy is the cool dude who talks calmly and very slyly charms the ladies while Raj was cool but not calm, Raj was loud and jumpy and did not worry about what everyone around him would think. I think that's what made Raj cool and different is that he really didn't care. While Sammy is all like I am Sammy no one can resist me or prove me wrong, Raj did not care he just wanted to have fun.

Also, remember the Piano scene right before the song "Ruk Jaa O Dil deewane" that whole Raj playing the Piano like a maniac I could never see Sammy doing that because that would tarnish his "cool" image.
