Urmila turns down Yash Raj

After delivering a slew of duds, the once sought after Yash Raj Films has lost its sheen. So much so that actresses of the likes of Urmila Matondkar, who are facing a lean mean professional glitch, are refusing to be part of the projects offered by the big banner.

According to insiders, Urmila, whose acting skills have been appreciated in the latest revival of the classic 'Karz', was reportedly approached by Yash Raj Films for one of their forthcoming flicks. But the sassy babe turned down the offer citing the role as insignificant.

Besides the Yash Raj banner backing up the movie that has been tentatively titled Hidaba, it also had stars like Shahid and Rani in the main lead. Urmila was reportedly offered a prominent role but the sultry siren backed off saying the role was not meaty enough.

What's next? Well, we heard that Tabu has stepped into Urmila's shoes. Apparently Tabu, who is known for doing author-backed roles, felt that the role had much more depth and character.

oh..dats news...may b da role was not quite fresh or something young..dats y she backed out..btw tabu is not gud as far as selection of movies is concerned..she refused to play da main lead in kabhi alvida na kehna n rather played a side role in fanaa...well im sure da role wont b dat gud..dats y urmila backed out..i think she took da rite decision..tabu does movies randomly n picks up her roles spontaneously..so may b da role wont be dat gud but tabu playing it makes it da centre of attention..watch out rani as a better actress is in da same movie as yours..which has never happened before to u..
