even though everyone calls Alekh the insane one, on the contrary, it seems, he's about the only sane one in his family now, and the most brave too. he's the only person who has the guts to stand up for what he believes in, and of course, the only person courageous enough to stand up to the "almighty" Vashundhara. and its great to see how he supports Sadhna so much, he's about the only one... its so touching. sadhna needn't cry anymore cause her husband is with her, no matter what. i always say that as long as you have your life partner to support you, you can get through all the hurdles in life, through thick and thin... and that is precisely what i like about this show, not like one of those nonsense, formulaic kekta shows where all they try to do is break the sacred bond that is existing between the relationship of a husband and a wife.
i actually just started watching this show recently, couple months ago, during my vacation in Bangladesh (where all everyone ever watch is Indian entertainment) and Bidaai was the only show that I'd watch. its the only show, i felt was apart from all those, rediculous, formulaic, kekta shows, so i gave it a try. and i must say, i really liked it. so much so that now that i'm back from my vacation, i started watching this show from the very beginning of Alekh-Sadhna's wedding till all the june episodes, ALL IN ONE NIGHT!!! that's about 50 EPISODES, all in just a matter of a couple of hours (i think around 4 to be exact). sadly, i don't have Star Plus where i live, so i started watching it online on youtube. anyways. well, i must say what kept me so glued to this show was the ever evolving relationship of Alekh-Sadhna. though i've seen such relationships on tv before (ie. Sagaar-Vidya from Dulhaan), there's no other couple like the Alekh-Sadhna couple. and i just simply love how much Alekh cares for Sadhna, and is very quick to stand up for Sadhna's right to anyone who taunts her, be it even his mother (who btw, everyone seem to fear) or his sister. and it didn't happen in just a matter of a night, the way Sadhna endured all of Alekh's misbehavior, fullfilled his every demand (no matter how ridiculous they may have been, like with his somewhat obsessive-compulsion to have EVERYTHING on time, be it his breakfast, or his bath, etc. if not, then going COMPLETELY BALLISTIC), and in return did nothing but shower him with love... obviously played a huge part in Alekh reciprocating the same feeling towards Sadhna. now there bond is so strong, that no matter what anyone says, or what the circumstances might call for, they're there for each other through thick and thin. i noticed this especially in today's episode when Alekh stood up for his wife, when basically everyone, including even HER own, was saying she's wrong, but Alekh knew otherwise. and it was just so touching and cute, when he didn't eat cause Sadhna didn't eat, and refused to eat until she ate, and starts crying only cause she starts to cry... i mean this kind of love, it truly is very rare to find in this world. and more than anything, i simply just love the trust which Alekh-Sadhna have between one another, something which i've seen seriously lacking in many shows nowadays, especially with those nonsensical kekta shows. and it truly was a pleasure seeing Alekh evolving and seeing his progression. before he couldn't even drink an orange juice if it past his "orange juice time", and look at this boy now. granted, he still has a long way to go, but i'm sure with Sadhna along the way, he'll be there sooner or later, and that progression too, will be a pleasure to watch, i'm sure.
anyways, well my only complaint now is that we don't get to see as much Salekh anymore because of all the Ranvir-Ragini hoopla, but i'm sure that'll change soon too. until then, its sionara (probably spelled that one wrong. LOL) from my part, and thanks to all those who cared to listen.
~peace~ 😊
