| Nach Baliye - A Review- 3rd Nov -performance The fourth Episode was not as good as the first three episodes. The Anchors did a decent and commendable job esp . the guy , Shabbir Ahluwalia looks shabby but still there's something nice about him ! Sangita screamed a lot . The program began with the elegant and oomphyly clad , sizzling with beautiful dancer's eyes, Rajeshwari who battled sickness to do a wonderful job. Varun has been a surprise package and is improving with every outing. It will be a surprise if this jodi is not in the top 3. What was shocking were the marks given by the judges. They definitely deserved better than 14 . The most depressing sight was that of a heavily built Poonam in black attire exposing her fat thighs . The designer needs to understand that skimpy clothes do not go well on heavily built women. She seems to shed tears for every damn thing. This pair would most probably go out in the next round. Not all skin show looks attractive ! Manish and she were not in best form together . Talented actress (but an hardworking yet ordinary dancer) Mannini De and a docile and expressionless Mihir did not appear to be in best nick and were deservedly out of the show . A very good example of enthusiasm , energy , hard work and chemistry has always so far been dislayed by Rajiv and Delnaaz. Though rajiv claimed he did not know dancing in the first round , either he was being modest or he has worked hard at it. This pair esp , Rajiv did extremely well with jives and somersaults .He entharalled the viewers.Here is an excellent example of how the dress designer for this pair dressed up Delnaaz who is also heavily built but had herself decently clothed and covered. She did not make a poor sight with her nice attire which covered/ camaouflaged her flab , and her energy and spirit was extremely infectious. It woould be hard for this couple to reach the last four, though. The most elegant, guileful , humour-packed and expression- filled cameo came from the bubbling and effervescent senior pair of Archana and Parmeet who came with their kids. They deserved the points (29) fully and were second best in points. It was a close second. We should see this jodi for their vibrance in the last four. The next pair of Neeru - Amit make a wonderful jodi but their performance was luke warm . Neeru looks extremely attractive and pretty inspite of ther roman nose and Amit a perfect match , handsome . Will probably reach the last four. Dance was ok -ok. 24 points. Ditto for Apurva and Shilpa Saklani - not a great show. Yet 25 points. Finally the Jodi who is everyone favourite - Sachin and Supriya. They make a wonderful pair. Their chemistry is magnificent. Their movements are rhythmic. Supriya has a freshness a la Sridevi about her. she does not show signs of back trouble which is bothering her. This pair is the hottest claimant for the Rs 50 lakh prize. This pair does rock , inspite of being 45 plus. That is amazing. And finally , a spat was visible between the choreographer of Manini and Mihir who openly was critical of judges observations. Hats off for being brave. Saroj Khan thinks only she knows about Dance and attire. This man made his point. But alas , the judges will play God. Malaika is an encouraging judge. Saroj is most of the time quite encoraging but some times gets too critical and her comments HIT badly. That man Farhan Akhthar is a GREAT INDIAN BORE . We have to tolerate him.I suppose he is there because his wife is dancer ! He simple depends on what Malaika has to say. Wish he is replaced just like how Anna Singh the designer was shown the door. I suppose the winner will be between Sachin-Supriya or Varun-Rajeshwari on merit unless the voting public play havoc ! |
