The guy with two left feet turns judge for a dance reality show!

All the sane people of the world are aware of the fact that these naach gaana shows on the telly are a joke. They are almost synonymous with each other and shamelessly survive on silly dance items, crocodile tears and dramebaazi.


Now the original dance reality show- 'Nach Baliye' has also become a victim of the horrendous fad.

The fourth season of the show was announced recently and the participant list was mighty unimpressive. Not that the list was ever impressive but this time it has hit a new low!

After all who on earth is interested in watching oldies Jaspal- Savita Bhatti, expressionless Vineet Raina and his partner Tanushree Kaushal and nobodies like Jatin Shah- Priya Bhatija, Kapil Nirmal-Anjali Abrol dancing?

Basically the channel exhausted its list of real life couples and settled for the Tom, Dick and Harry kinds!

The three judges of the show happen to be Farah Khan, Karisma Kapoor and Arjun Rampal.

Now Farah and nimble footed dancer Karisma's inclusion is understandable. But Arjun Rampal? This guy just can't dance saala!

He may be good looking and a decent actor (which we came to know only after 'OSO and Rock on' though).

But he really and truly can't dance to save his life. Except for a one-off 'Ek Ajnabee' where he just did a little bit of leg and booty shaking, he's never actually danced in any film.

Looks like the channel failed to find a director to replace Farhan Akhtar, Kunal Kohli and David Dhawan and chose good old Arjun boy. Did they select him on the grounds that he had produced a disaster like 'I see you'?

By the way I think Arjun's getting luckier by the day. After getting a chance to play the emotional character of a guitarist in 'Rock On, he will be the undeserving judge of people's dancing skills. Obviously it's like a double celebration for him!

He told me, "I was always convinced to be the part of this show. But I believe the viewers to be the ultimate judge who would give the final verdict."

Yeah sure, with your kinda skills, you will have to rely a lot on the janta.


He added, "In India, television is the best medium to introduce your real self to the viewers. I am not forced to compromise with my film schedules as the show isn't taking much of my time. Also my production company is planning to make entertaining shows for television. So it would be an opportunity to understand the likes and dislikes of the audiences."

Oh, so the guy wants to now make TV disasters as well!

Surprisingly the hunk's still hopeful that he'll dance well some day (though no body thinks so)!

"If I get a better dance director then I too can emerge out to be a better performer. I love free style dancing. Hrithik Roshan is the best dancer and stands out internationally. I admire Madhuri, Sridevi and Aishwarya too," he stated.

Ok, that's why you were insecure about Hrithik's presence and demanded star like treatment once during a show. And who can forget how you made Ash uncomfortable with your stiff dancing in 'Dil Ka Rishta'?

Arjun doesn't forget to reveal an interesting piece of info too.

He said, "You know I was asked to host 'Bigg Boss 1', which I rejected. Because I tried watching the show many times but within a few days itself, I felt that it's not my cup of tea."

agree...last time dere were much more competetent dancers like sanjeeda..rakhi kashmira who also were quite famous n well known...but dis time its not as star studded as before thk God Karishma n farah r dere to save it but really arjun..i mean hez a misfit here...he cant cant cant dance n i dun think he will ve much knowledge abt it...neither does he ve much gud sense of humour to make da atmosphere funny a bit like david used to but again david was a directoir n was competent as the judge where as arjun no way...i think all hez doing recently is jst acting like a spoon of farah n srk after OSO..no offence but i dun think he deserves to be a judge ere...

Seriously thats what I was thinking what dancing knowledge or experience does Arjun have???

I am sure he will be a good judge lets see i am happy now because karishma and farah are in it the contestents are boringgggggggggg.

Well I was initially surprised to read about Arjun as a NB judge. Farah and Karishma are choices that one can understand but I would never associate dance with Arjun. But they did have David Dhawan last season lol! So I'm going to wait and see how Arjun is as a judge. He might surprise us....let's see!

arjun rampal as a judge is a laugh, good looking no doubt, competent actor but the worse dancer, he can't be a judge of the field he hs no knowledge of or the skills a good dancer needs, he is going to be a very boring judge to watch. have you ever watched his interviews, he bores you to death, the guy may be good looking, but when he opens his mouth he puts you off right away. he does ahhhh after every word & when he doesn't have the answer he laughs in the most awkward manner. just reading his name putt me off the show, but krisma alone is enough for me to keeping glued to the tv, as i am huge fan of hers. i wish instead of arjun they had some one from seniors like mithun, jeetendra extra at least they know the techniques of dancing. as for couple the most off putting senior couple, the boring & expressionless vineet rana alone can putt you off the show. what were the nach creators thinking when they signed the not so popular couples & a judge who doesn't know the abc of dancing
