Epi starts with the scene Kalyani giving her Managal Sootra to her Husband[Viraat..finally got his name..]..He doesn't agree to take but Kalyani convinces him by saying .'Mangal sootra isn't that much important than the 7 promises she took in marriage rituals, and the dignity of their family ..'
He agrees and promises her he will be returning the Mangal sootra soon..
He goes to jeweller and mortgages the Mangal Sootra and with that money he buys Shaals and sarees and he is in the way back home..
In the house Laxmi with the help of Naren was serving Food to Pandith jiis..after their Lunch Hari Prasadh jii distributes Shaals to all pandith jiis with the help of his elder son [Viraat]and praises him how responsible he is..Kalyani was watching from Far all these ..Viraat gives instructions with the eyes to cover her neck with the Saree Pallu..so that no one can find out the miss of Mangal sootra..Savitri jii abserves all these and calls Kalyani to come and join with her and relatives..
After that everyone was hungry and wants to eat food including Hari prasadh jii..
There was a conversation between Hari Prasad jii and His Doctor friend regarding Hari Ji's Food habits and how he has to change them to maintaine his good health without any negligence..It's a witty conversation actually..Then Laxmi arrives there and gives to Hari Prasad jii Carrote Halwa..Hari jii's friend abjects Laxmi but she says that was specially prepared for Hari jii with Shugar substitute….
Everyone one sat before Dining table..Laxmi's parents also come.Savitri jii was continuesly abserving Kalyani's neck..everyone finishes their lunch..Savitri tries to talk with Kalyani but Kamakshi comes and disturbs them and takes Kalyani along with her to get listen her marriage proposal conversation between Laxmi's parents and her mother Sayani..
There in the hall Sayani jii was explaining to Laxmi's parents what type of Groom she need for her Daughter..Laxmi's Father tells her Wealth isn't that much important than good cultured family and Sayani agrees with that..Kalyani and Kamakshi joined them..
Laxmi's parents want to leave their home now..Everyone comes and say bye to them…There was an emotional scene between Laxmi and her parents..Savitri gives assurance to them like..Laxmi won't be facing any problem in their house..She is daughter to that house now..
Everyone leaves to their rooms but Savitri stops Kalyani as she wants to talk about something and asks about her Mangal sootra which was missing..Kalyani tries to hide the fact by saying it's given to Goldsmith for some repair..Savitri jii tries enquire in deep about the Goldsmith's name and what type of repair it was..But Kalyani gives different reasons and tries to escape ..Savitri Jii warns her it should be in her neck by that evening..Kalyani agrees and leaves..
There in the dining hall Laxmi was doing some work then Savitri jii comes and sees at Time ..It's 7-30 in the evening..So she asks Laxmi to call Kalyani as she wants to talk to her..Laxmi goes to call..
Then there was a conversation between Kalyani and her Hubby..Kalyani was asking him to get the Mangal sootra soon as Her MIL asked about that..She has to give the answer to Savitri jii..She can't able to lie anymore..But He tries to convince her saying how he doesn't have money and all the money had spent on Naren's marriage and all other expences..He has responsobilty to move forward the house without any troubles and without knowing all these stuff to Hari Prasad jii..He asuures Kalyani he will be working hard to gain money..Laxmi overhears all these conversation and she mooves back with shocked expression..
