lol hahahahah...funny article....deepika wont be too happy after reading this...her role requires her to be silent, much like what she did in OSO, BAH...and now this....i need to see deepika's talent...i feel shes being toted as the top actress for popularity reasons and not for acting...

she was unconvincing in BAH...the word 'dude' sounded horrific coming from her...and shes an OKKK actress from what ive seen

According to me she's the most overrated new comer yet.

Genelia is FAR MORE talented and such a charming actress. GO GENELIA!

This also shows that Kareena's a great actress to work with. Imtiaz's thoughts just show that compared to kareena, Deepika needs a long way to go.

^^ Lmao..........Deepika is certainly over rated ...no doubt and i dont like her for that very reason....!

But Genelia by no means is a newcommer........She debuted 5- 6 years......and didnt get work in bollywood and had been working in the south.....! LOL !!

i totally agree that deepika is overrated just cause OSO was a superhit, it wasn't really down to her she was ok in the film and in bah her role was soo small

I know she's stunning but we still don't know how good an actress she is.

I think the key words in this interview are 'silent character'........it kind of suggests that Imtiaz believes the role would not be fair to Kareena and her talent.

Deepika on the other hand, fits the role because all she needs to do is look pretty onscreen.

Well its sometimes good to work with the flavour of the season, more assurity of the financial stability of the movie for directors!! I m sure this would work in the movie interest.

Kareena and Saif r amazing actors but hardly ppl will be looking frwd to watch them onscreen as a jodi, the fact that they have exposed their relationship so much that ppl r not really excited to watch them together. The unusual casting of deepika and SAif will be exciting factor and I m sure they will do well in their roles and will also look smashing onscreen!

Imtiaz must be fond of Kareena and who is not.. she is more experienced and any experienced actor would pull off the role more easily than any newcomer playing the same role.. Give deepika a chance.. i have a feeling she will do good in the movie.

And yeah deepika might be playing a sad gloomy girl from the meant of silent character but that doesnt mean she willnt be having any dilouges!! so dont give any final verdict before watching her..

Saif has talked abt deepika and he has alot positive things to say abt her, look at these interviews..

This is utter rubbish. I can?t believe people are saying such things. There isn?t an ounce of truth in this. During the time we shot together in London, I found her to be very hardworking and focused on her work. Beyond that I don?t know her at all.
