what is with the DVD's in US?

ok seriously, I have noticing for the past 5 months that every indian store now has pirated DVD's. I have not watched a movie that is acutally dvd from the dist. it's so werid. are the people no relasing the dvd's or what?

I just order orignals from the interenet since theres no asian stores near by and our cinema never shows movies :(..we have shops in the uk thouhg just not close

yeah i know what you mean, i live in chicago, and the movies are on dvd 4 days after the movie released. The quality isnt that great and even if you ask for an original they dont have it because they get them months later its kind of annoying but most of the time i dont have patience for a movie so i just watch it with the bad quality and all.

Also I do not trust the online shops. Sometimes rates are so low and I feel may be they are selling pirated DVD with good print for that much price.

Don't know about the US, but here in the UK pirate DVD's are sold in most asian stores (especially Southall).

HMV, Zavvi, Tesco, WH Smith etc (in other words the gore!) all sell authentics.

This has been happening for the past few years actually - within a couple days of the movie's release in India, DVD's are suddenly available in U.S. stores.

Since most of the people today watch films from the net, so the DVDs import bussiness is not going well that is why could be the reason that stores are not importing DVDs...........

The store here stopped bringing both original and pirated DVDs, as people keep on watching films on the net, so almost nobody is buying DVDs from the store!!!!!!!!.......

I know. I agree with the person I cant wait either so I just watch mostly on the net before the class starts
