Hemachandra's Unfortunate Situation...

You must have noticed that Hemachandra has never got the highest votes in this competition.

Unfortunately for him, he doesn't have any voter base. You all have been witness to the fact that a great deal of public voting is region based. And the sad thing is that this trend is being encouraged by the show… For example

... Shaan talking about Raktima and Ujjaini splitting the Kolkata votes
... Shots of general public saying they'll vote for Nihira because she's from Mumbai
... Rajeev asking his home town people to vote for him in local languages and Punjabi
... Paresh being asked to speak in Gujarati to get the Gujarati vote… and so on

Hemachandra is from South India, and people from the south don't have much representation as contestants or voters in these type of shows. The same is true of Indian Idol and Fame Gurukul. Indian Idol does not even go to a single south Indian city to recruit singers. I don't really blame them too much because the southern part of India is not Hindi speaking…

So, don't be too surprised if a talented singer like Hemachandra gets left out in this mania of public voting…

I hope Saregamapa NEVER repeats this mistake again !!!!!!!!!!!

PLEASE VOTE EVERYONE !!! We need to support him !!!

Hemachandra was my TOP favorite among the males to WIN this contest!!! I hope he'll remain in the contest, just so we can hear him sing more. He has the voice of a seasoned artist.

But now this contest winner is not important anymore...

What's more important is that his Guru Adeshji gives him a good break as he promised... He said once that he will give Hema all the male songs in one album, so lets hope he keeps his word...

If this news is true, I balme AS for this mess. Instead of promoting true
talent and his #1 pick, he has left Hema twisting in the wind while
favoring Himani and Rajeev. He knows the game and had played it well,
which is why Rajeev is doing so well. I hope he is feeling bad whever he

This is one "unfairness" I don't mind. If rules are being bent to keep some singers in, even after blatant mishaps, these 2 need to be in, like desperately.

south india is the real india with its manpower and its level of education and talent not only in entire india but in the world ! its bull shit that south indians dont speak hindi , they speak better hindi than the north indians. dont believe ! visit hyderabad, bangalore,mysore,vijaywada and chennai !!!

I don't want this to turn into a battle of regionalism, or North vs South India!!!

I happen to be from South India… Kerala to be be specific, which is the MOST literate state in India. It has a 100% literacy. So I know all about the education level of South Indians. I am proud of the education and literacy level in S. India. I've been to EVERY one of those cities you mentioned in S. India AND MORE …

This post is not about which region of India is the real India, its man power or level of education or talent…

When I said S. India is not Hindi speaking, my point is that Hindi is NOT the first language in ANY state of S. India. In Kerala it is Malayalam, in Chennai it is Tamil, in Andhra it is Telegu, in Karnataka it is Kanada, etc.

Though people in these states speak Hindi, their support for Hindi films and music is not the same as it is in North India. In Kerala for instance, Malayalam and Tamil films are much more popular than Hindi… in Chennai, Tamil films rule…

Hyderabad is an exception in S. India because it has a large Hindi/Urdu speaking contingent. Most of the people from Hyderabad speak Hindi/Urdu and Telegu…

Anyway, my point was that Hemachandra does not have a large voter base like some other contests… Rajeev, for instance was asking his home state, and adjoining Punjab, etc to vote for him …

And my point has been proven since Hema has NOT been getting the votes he deserves…!!!!!!!

What about being fair to the music lovers? SRGMP is fast losing cred here.
