Okay, so I DID like her initially. But somehow over the last few years, Preity simply fails to impress me. Be it her dressing sense or the kind of films she does, Preity Zinta seems to have just lost that edge over her contemporaries. Think of it, at a time she was paired opposite the biggest stars and today it's been almost two years since she's worked with a big banner. And then there are her commercials. God, I loved the girl I saw in Liril! But her latest ad for some sarkari telecommunications company made me cringe! Whatever's happened to you Preity? The only thing I keep hearing is you hobnobbing with Ness and co and giving jhappis (ahem!) to your losing IPL team! For someone who has not bothered about conventions to someone who doesn't seem to bother about her image or work, Preity Zinta is number five on my list of Bollywood hotties who MUST retire.

Ameesha Patel

Confession: I never thought of Ameesha Patel as a great actress. But she surely had a great career lined up. Then she seemed keen on throwing it all after she hooked up with Vikram Bhatt. Recently, she insisted on making a comeback with that horrendous film Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic. These days the only thing I've been reading in the papers is her new (and rich ahem) boyfriend Kaanav. Ameesha, baby when your only calling card is some guy who flies you to Maldives for three days is probably time to just get married to him na? Ameesha Patel is number four on my list of Bollywood hotties who MUST retire.

Sushmita Sen

I quite like Sush's attitude towards life. She drives her own SUV, walks in with various men, has lived in with quite a few and doesn't care about what the world thinks. But I keep racking my brain to remember the last time she was in a hit film. And no name comes to mind. She's been endorsing an age-defying cream. But ironically she seems to be aging faster than ever before. What's more, she's actually doing TELEVISION now! God someone help this girl... Sushmita Sen is number three on my list of Bollywood hotties who MUST retire.

Shilpa Shetty

Will someone please tell me just WHY men in general consider Shilpa Shetty hot? Okay so she has a really hot body. As luck would have it, she managed to win that Celebrity Big Brother thing in the UK. And the best thing she could do after that was get involved with a married man (now estranged)! And just for that Shilpa Shetty is number two on my list of Bollywood hotties who MUST retire.

Urmila Matondar

Yep! It is Urmila Matondkar I am talking about. This once-sexy Bollywood star somehow just lost her Midas touch and has never managed to recover ever since. I happened to see the posters of her new film Karzzzz and I couldn't help but smile. The filmmakers have made her sport a pair of sunglasses so huge, they cover half her face. And then there's the title. Wouldn't be surprised to see half the auditorium going zzzzz 10 minutes into Karzzzz.

Well..i agree abt Preity....I still love her now....and I dont mind her dressing sense ....but yeah , her movies have been bombing these last few years....but the Mohali team was in the IPL semis....not that bad , rite?

I disagree with Preity and Urmilla outta the entire lot. Preity is still considerably young and good looking. If she's not getthing those teeny bopper roles anymore, I'm sure she'll do great in a more mature genre. Isnt she doing Deepa Mehta's Heaven on Earth?

And Urmilla is one of THE BEST actresses we have in the industry. Her, Tabu, and Konkona can just about carry off any role, adn this is coming from a total kareena fan who doesnt care too much about bollywood aside from her. But even I can recognize talent when I see it. Urmilla is in no position to retire. If Konkona and Tabu can do and excel in off beat cinema, Urmi is no different. Have we forgotten her brilliant perfomrances in movies like Bhoot, Ek Haseena Thi, Pyaar tune kya kiya, and Pinjar?

Outta the entire lot, prolly the one actress who is the best contender to go would be Amisha. She debut in 2000 along with Hrithik, Abhishek, and Kareena. Despite having an explosive launch, look where her contemprories are and look at her.

okay first of all i wanna know who wrote the article.. i mean the fact that it is written on first person makes me wonder if they're someone important, though i doubt it

also the writer seems to be sexist, why only the female hotties? what about those middle aged men in Bollywood who do teenybopper roles and do roles that makes them look ridiculous?

its not like anyone's forcing the writer to go watch these ladies' movies.99% of Bollywood movies don't appeal to me and i stay clear of them, this person should do the same

priety should definately not retire i want to see her in much bigger banner films where she plays a more wider range of roles, after all she is hugely talented and has a lot left to give. whoever wrote this article seems to be jealous of priety and probably is someone who isn't even important at all, and yes i agree with the person who said tht why is this writer only pointing fingers at actresses and not actors. now the people who need to retire are Big B and mithun(although hes not really in the film scene much now-but ive always found him annoying so it would be brilliant news if he actually confirmed his retirement from movies and took his son along with him please).

when tawking of preity one cant forget her natural performance in KAL HO NA HO n VEER ZAARA for which she was appreciated

when tawking of sush one cant forget her performance in SAMAY a movie one mite not recall but yes such was appreciated for her acting in Samay apart frm dat she has been a diva.She looked stunning like hell in mein hoon na

tawking abt shilpa PHIR MILENGE was actually on her shoulders n da way she performed her role ..it was just awesome n she again she won da hearts of all da critics through her performace

Urmila has won awards for her acting skills in Bhoot n been quite appreciated in films like pinjar ..ek haseena thi etc where her acting was completely natural..

tawking abt all dese hotties some movies have come 2 my mind where dere performances spoke volumes...AMEESHA PATEL is da only exception in all of dem who has never acted well in any of her films..she has never gone into the skin of any of her characters like all dese ve...dats da difference between dem n ameesha...dey r actresses n ve proved dere acting capabilities where as ameesha has never given an appreciated performance ..she never stole hearts of critics or audiences for her performance..yea her luck her 1st 2 movies worked but again widout acting one cant survive n same is da case wid ameesha .She has been in news but never for her acting skills etc but for filing case against her parents n etc etc...shez one such person who certainly needs to be shown da DOOR TO GET OUT of da film industry for ever..
