Reeps dont be upset. Its only natural to have expectations from others. Its human psychology. When the stars or any one else dont live upto to your expectation, you are bound to feel disheartened and let down. Its not just with the way we react or criticise a star but its with any one to do in your day to day life. On our part, I guess we can stop having expectations and stop putting the stars or any one else on a pedastal.

Tell you what when the Indian Cricket team failed to win earlier, I used to be upset. But the minute i stopped taking their victory and failure as my own and stopped treating them as gods, and putting them in a pedastal, life sure did become a bliss.

Personally, I feel IQ should have also thanked his co stars and his fans when he went to recieve the awards. Why he didnt and whether he forgot, thats his perogrative. Fans make or break a star and its only healthy to criticise. Hey, havent people criticised Suvarna, Neha,Amit and others. So Why make a big deal if its IQ? Criticism should be healthy and constructive and not malign a person. Also criticism helps you become better.Frankly Speaking Reeps, dont dwell too much into it and dont think too much about it. Enjoy the show and love it for the joy it brings to you and then just forget about it!

Mistyeyed, I agree with you. Constructive criticism is helpful and better
than no criticism. I am not making a big deal out of all this cause IQ is at
the recieving end. Believe me, I am being misunderstood? why? I don't
know...maybe cause I used IQ as my prime example.

Gosh, I didn't put up this post to support or demean IQ. I put it up for the
forum members to rethink of why they get so disturbed when their
expectations fall flat. I put it up for us to consider our stances on actors
and others in general....criticize the actors, I don't stop you from
that....have expectations, though limited....I won't stop you from it
either...but, why do we feel the need to malign the person...that is what I
don't understand and want people to see that there is a difference
there....there, we are just being judgemental of a person and not giving
the other person any room for impovement...basically, we have found a
stance...and dont' want to see any hope for better...we want to pound on
it, and pound hard, too.

That is all....I hope, you and others understand what I was trying to say. I
was asking us to self-anlayze our own actions...why judge others so
harshly?

A gud post reeps.... I liked what u had to say in it ... and agree with what u said ...

As to the above question : well, I think the reason why we build mammoth expectations frm our stars is coz we 'invest' so much of ourselves in them : I mean think abt it : our time, our effort, our emotions are given to them in varying degrees at various tymes: we laugh when they laugh , we feel sad when their characters are sad. And since we watch them day in and day out .. they kinda becoming part of our lives.

And in events/ceremonies, it is NOT WRONG to expect some thing in return. If a star acknowledges that he/she is what he is, in-part of his fan base: that is just like a cherry on top : I mean we already are fanz But to be remembered at an important occaassion makes us feel that much special.

But that said: I am ALL for a clear division b/w a star's private and personal life : Mammoth star or not , I for one feel that, we, as fanz, have NO RITE to trespass into an actor's personal life - no matter how high my pedestal for him/her is.

True, true..Angad, diwani....I am not saying to not have expectations..or
not be disappointed when actors/ humans fall short of them. Infact, I was
a bit upset cause he didn't thank the audience, but then most of the stars
didn't do it!

But, being disappointed for something is different than being critical of
persons' character altogether or diss what a person is.

Sighhhhhhhhh reeps, I f evrybdy starts thinking the way u do and takes thngs as rationally as You, this world wud be heaven beyond its making!! 😳 😳

Its just a matter of how we take up a particular sitaution! This world, forum involves a hell lot of people and each of dem wid differnt nature and temperamental values!

There are people who rather choose to overlook short commings and some stand up to speak their word out! .evry other individual is not the same!..!so its just tht some membbers chose to speak their feelings out!

We watch Iq-Neha-Amit. We love dem , we adore them! But at the same tyme we expect stuff from them, whih wen does not turn up to, it is a disappointment indeed. And trust me expecting a thnkyou for the fans atleast wasnt tht big an expectation!!.On the ethical side, He shd have thanked his co-stars too, But I am ready to overlook it, as there it is his perogative! But yes I am disappointed in him, tht he didnt thnk his fans!Despite it I cant declare him as a bad human or anythng, coz tht wud be berry harsh on ma part!.But yes I maintain ma stance, tht I was expecting a thnkyou, for the fans atleast!

And reepso, Evn I observed tht he wasnt as gleeful. He rather looked sad, unhappy, both wen he took the award and wen he was performing!!

Yup tano! 😛

I mean the delight on his face was not as tht of a person, who receives one of his berry first awards!.He wasnt joyous at all!!

While performing too, he did not manage a single smile!,He was either nervous or upset, But it was very evident he did look unhappy!

And I reckon u were buzy swooning on his bixeps and triceps! 😆 whih are ofcourse a bigger delight!! 😆 😆
