Im really confused on what to do! My dream is to be a Doctor, i want to help people and i want to make my future and life secure. BUT there is one problem...Medical school costs too much and my parents have no College money saved for me! Oh sure we have life insurance and all that but what about my dream? i want to be a Doctor and medical school is expensive! Im good at my studies and perhaps i can get a scholarship(im in 10th grade right now). But there still would be lots of money to pay. I complained to my parents and they said dont worry about it. So when i buy something expensive or something like that my mom will say something like that could have been college money saved..and i just get really angry because if it could have been saved why cant they make me a bank account to put college money in! I want to be a Doctor and im GONNA be a Doctor...if i get a loan or something i will have the loan payment over my head for a majority of my life! i dont want that! What should i do? im thinking of getting a job when im 15 but i dont know if my parents will let me? i brought this topic up before{didnt say anythign abt college that time cause i didnt know we didnt have savings} but they said i dont need to. Should i talk to my parents again? I dont want their mistake to ruin my whole Life, Dreams, and Future...
what should i do?

Well, When it comes to studies, I dont think money should be a priority. But i understand its a problem sometimes.

What I advice you to do is, concentrate on studies right now 10th and 11th are the most important!

But what you can do for the first 2 years of undergrad, you can go to a community college and live at home, that saves alot of money! If you get really good grades, you wont have to pay for the community college...And for the other 2 years of undergrad, go to a state college, and if you are goodd at studies you will get lots of scholarships and grants..During this whole time, live at home, so it will save money..
That will definalty save you loads of money..And during your whole undergrad you can work..and save up money for medical school.

After you can finish your undergrad, I advice to go to medical school in the islands, its cheap their.

But the best thing right now is to concentrate on your sophomore year, and junior and get good grades...

not necessarily. out of state/country tuition can run very high. you also have to keep in mind that you will have to pay for room and board when going out of the country. you can certainly expect room and board to be expensive.

I think you shouldn't worry about money at this moment!

College Education shouldn't be exactly your parents responsiblity. I think you should take a loan and when u get a job u can start paying back. or even if ur parents give u monthly allowance u can use that to start pay back. Don't make money stress u out!!
Even if u want since ur in 10th grade u can get a part-time job and start to save money for college since college starts after 12th grade.😊

Well, first off, not all parents save money for their children's college life. Mine didn't and I am in college right now as a freshmen and I won a lot of scholarships.

All that matters at least right now for you is to work harder and study harder. The rest leave it up to the future. If you are a good student, then you'll get many scholarships but you need to keep a close eye on them. That's what matters the most. Especially in the US there are hundreds of scholarships that just go unclaimed each year that's because the students don't bother to take the time out and look for them.

My suggestions for you are first to study really hard - good grades are really important. And I am assuming that the only thing that's concerning you right now is money. So if you study hard and get good grades then half of your problem will be solved with scholarships. The other half you can get loans but there are other ways to go around this problem too.

I also want to be a doctor and I am living in MA, USA. If I get to go to UMass medical school and if I promise to practice in MA for 5 years then they waive my loans. And scholarships added to that and Inshallah I won't have to pay that much.

If you really have to get loans and look for good ones. Like I heard about one where there is no interest till your term ends and after you leave college is when interests start on that and doctors make good money so you'll be able to pay off the loans soon enough!

All the best!
