I dont mind this as long as the original source is credited! This is just a way of bringing our rich Indian folk to the forefront and I wouldnt mind that at all! I would never have heard of these songs if not for the filmi versions!
Now as to why credit is not given is something that simply stumps me!! 😕 NO reason not to especially in ID's case ... it was his debut and he had done a wonderful job with the overall score and giving credit here would only hv added to the debut rather than taking away from it!!

look at this rock song
originally bowl music converted into rock by Rupam Islam (currently he is the god of Bangla rock) and finally usurped by Pritam to make a track for Jannat, many Bangla rock songs got used by Pritam for films.

This is interesting:

Even if a song is plagiarised ultimate onus is on the CD comany marketing it this is why Pritam escaped wrath while TIPS will be paying thu nose. Going by reports saregamapa co will also have to pay for Indonesian song plagiarised by Pritam.
