Aamir Khan in Taare Zameen Par-
Aamir played the art teacher Ram Shankar Nikumbh who befriends and helps a child (Darsheel Safari) suffering from dyslexia to understand and overcome his problems. Nikumbh, with his characteristic teaching style soon becomes popular among the students. With his directorial debut, Aamir touched the hearts and moved many people with sterling performances and a very good script.
Amitabh Bachchan brought with him discipline and came across as a very strict principal named Narayan Shankar in Mohabbatein. The very mention of his name caused panic amongst the students. The character of a stern and strict principal as he crumbles under the harsh truth of life and reality is beautifully emoted by the sexagenarian.
Taking his creativity to a new level, In Black, Bachchan plays Debraj Sahai, an elderly alcoholic teacher for the deaf and blind. He sees himself as a magician and is a disillusioned eccentric man. He casts a magic spell to bring young Michelle (Rani Mukherjee) into the light with utter ease.
Sushmita Sen in Main Hoon Na-
Chemistry couls soon come to be a favourite subject for most male students if their teacher was Sushmita Sen.
Sushmita played the sexy chemistry teacher Chandini in Main Hoon Na. In her chiffon sarees and low cut blouses, the actress seduced the student in Shah Rukh Khan in the film.
She changed the outlook of people towards teachers with her glamorous avatar and played the role with perfection.
The tag of a failure is something that does not sit well on the shoulders of Baazigar Shah Rukh Khan.

Dilip Prabhalkar in Lage Raho Munnabhai-
Dilip Prabhalkar played Gandhiji in the hit film Lage Raho Munnabhai. Though he was not a conventional teacher in the film, he taught the values like truth, honesty and patience (popularly known as Gandigiri).
And with an earnest student like Sanjay Dutt aka Murli Prasad Sharma, the country was swamped in the Gandhigiri way of thinking.
Nasseruddin Shah played the local drunkard, Mohit, who was once a great cricketer and becomes the cricket coach of Iqbal (Shreyas Talpade). They are able to train in a nearby field, using Iqbal's buffaloes (named after actual members of the Indian cricket team) as fielders.
Mohit does the impossible job of training Iqbal who is deaf and mute boy and gets him a place on the Andhra Pradesh Ranji Trophy team, despite Iqbal not having any previous cricketing experience. Nasseruddin gave an extra ordinary performance with an ordinary character which he was playing and was much appreciated.
Ashok Kumar played a very uncharacteristic teacher to Amol Palekar in the film Choti Si Baat.
Through his experience and knowledge Askok Kumar turned Amol Palekar from a loser to a winner in love as well as the other important aspects of life.
