She has done a string of B-grade flicks, like Ansh (with Milind Gunaji), Patth (with Sharad Kapoor), Pardesi Re (with Ashutosh Rana) and Basti (with Faisal Khan). In fact, Basti (released in 2003) was one of her bolder films, in which she plays Faisal Khan's love interest, and even shares a couple of smooches with him. Impact: Sikander is photogenic and enacts her part with conviction. Anuj Saxena Fimography Sar Aankhon Par (1999) Role: His debut film, opposite Shruti Ulfat, failed to generate any response. He was seen playing the male lead. Impact: This doctor-entrepreneur-actor took refuge in television. Presently, he's awaiting the release of his next film, Lips. Amarr Upadhyay Filmography Dhoondhte Reh Jaoge (1998) Dahshat (2000) Censor (2001) Loc — Kargil (2003) Jodi Kya Banayi Wah Wah Ramji (2003) Dhund —The Fog (2003) Roles: After moving from the small screen to Bollywood, Amarr Upadhyay didn't exactly land himself any major roles. Although Wah Wah Ramji was the only film where he had a substantial part, in the rest, the actor had hardly any screen presence. Impact: Amar Upadhyay is ordinary, although he tends to get loud and theatrical at times. Also, losing some weight would help his appearance. Shilpa Saklani Filmography Tere Liye (2000) Special appearance in Na Tum Jaano Na Hum (2003) Role: In the film, Shilpa plays a young and successful film star who comes into the lives of a music band to find her own destiny and future. Impact: There has been no mention of Shilpa's acting in any reviewance. — Taran Adarsh Narayani Shastri Filmography Chandni Bar (2001) Role: Narayani Shastri was seen as the inmate of a beer bar in suburban Mumbai. She essayed the role of a helpless girl, forced to take up dancing in the bar in order to make ends meet. Impact: A minuscule role, it went unnoticed, courtesy Tabu's overwhelming presence. Shveta Salve Fimography Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi (1999) Role: She played a small cameo of a college girl in the film. She was a part of the gang comprising the lead characters — Dino Morea, Sanjay Suri and Rinke Khanna. Impact: It surely didn't get her meaty roles in other Bolly flicks. But she moved on to become a popular face on television, with soaps like Kittie Party and Lipstick. Arjun Punj Filmography Tere Liye (2001) Time Paas (2005) Role: In Time Pass, Arjun plays the role of Vishal, who develops sexual feelings towards his family friend. Impact: Arjun Punj seems to have a massive SRK hang-up, and it shows all the way. Although he does an okay job in some places, he should refrain from using those typical SRK mannerisms. — Taran Adarsh Nikkhil Arya Filmography Valentine Days (2003) Role: The actor, then known as Nikhil Sakhrani, was seen playing Samir, a warm-hearted man who paves his way as one of the suitors for Jeena, the only daughter of an Indian father and American mother. While Jeena faces the culture curry after landing in the country, Samir comes to her rescue. The plot revolves around Bobby (Chaitanya Chaudhry), Raj and Sweety. Both men fall in love with her, but for different reasons. Kalpana Lajmi's Kyon? revolves around five college friends – Vikram (Chaitanya), Tony, Amar, Neha and Shilpa. Impact: Barring Chaitanya Choudhary… none of the newcomers strike a chord in Kyon? — Taran Adarsh Tina Parakh Filmography Satya Bol (2004) Role: In this film, Tina plays the wife of protagonist Manish Singh. Her character's name is Sandhya. Impact: Tina Parakh looks charming and makes an impression in this male-dominated flick. She leaves a mark in the scene when she walks out on Manish. — Taran Adarsh |
