one thing that these people should understand is that all indians are not angels. a lot of them don't care about their culture and their religion. i agree there are a lot of NRIs out there who are the most disrespectful people you've seen in your life but there also those who care a lot about their sanskaar. i live in the u.s. and i go to the gurdwara every sunday, pray and follow the rules that my religion has put forth for me. i agree that i have cut my hair and i do eat meat but i have never forgotten my religion or the country where i come from. a lot of NRIs are portrayed as walking around half naked. let me tell you that indians are not less. it seems that the latest fad is walking around with the least amount of clothes on as possible. i hav always wore long skirts, dresses, jeans, capris, t-shirts and full length shirts. never have i worn short skirts, shorts, spahgetti strap tops, tank tops, bikinis. it's disgraceful not only to indians but to NRIs as well. honestly i think all the indians out there, whether they live in india or abroad, need to realize where they're from and what their culture really is.
