Serials running beyond expiry date

All good things come to an end .I hope Astitva comes to an end too .O.k. I agree serials need to be profit making and need to run long but the point is how long?

Can these talented directors make one serial ,be done with it and move on to something new and fresh? It is this policy of playing safe that is so irksome. At the end ,I feel they alienate viewers instead of making them happy.
