Why do our PMs get censored? I find that to be ridiculous..

I was pming someone.. we were having a converstation.. and I wrote a word, a "curse" word.. and then it censored.. it had asterisks replacing the word.

but it wasn't in the fourm.. it was in PM.. which I thought were supposed to PRIVATE and unrestricted..

I guess tehy mean private to other random people but not that private that you can swear and be mean to a person on teh website, i guess if you do be mean to someone they can kick you out of IF....but i m not sure

That's fine, if you're talking to your friend. This feature is to avoid unknown people cursing one another, as there are very young members on IF as well. As we cannot specifically restrict the words based on usage, they will be replaced by * anyway. Hope you understand the need for it?

I am glad you have some censorship in place. Please continue and also do not have disgusting vulgar ads. I would not spend time on a site which is not completely family friendly. Besides people should be able to communicate in a civil manner without resorting to bad language in all situations.
