Kushal Punjabi lashes out

All is not well on the sets of Ek Se Badkar Ek. According to sources, judge Ahmed Khan is unhappy that Saloni aka Rajshri Thakur is still in the running despite being a mediocre performer, while other more talented contestants have been voted out.

Kushal Punjabi, who survived yet another danger zone this week, has started questioning the voting capabilities of the audience. The actor felt that the audience votes sympathetically when the judges give their favourite bahus low points. He even went so far as to question the SMS format entirely.

"I don't have anything against Rajshri," said Kushal. "But the truth is that she herself confessed that she is not a good performer. And despite that she ends up getting higher points then me?"

This week saw both Kushal and Abhishek Awasthi landed in the danger zone and the judges saved Kushal but Abhishek had to go.

Abhishek was pretty upset," said Kushal. "Reality shows are his life... But then again maybe the pressure did affect him. Thinking back, didn't a similar thing happen to Shewta Salve in Jhalak... She was a better dancer then Mona Singh, but yet the latter still won."

Well, that's what reality shows are about at the end of the day... perhaps it isn't talent but popularity that leads contestants to the big prize.
