Aishwarya Rai's dresses at the Cannes film festival were a fashion faux pasREMEMBER Neeta Lulla's off-shoulder gown Aishwarya Rai wore at the inauguration of the last film festival at Cannes? Even now, the actress is being reminded and pulled up for her choice of clothing—some critics insisting that she looked more of an Indian maid than a responsible member of the jury.

Ash looks stunning in that sari! She wasn't criticized for wearing a sari to Cannes, she was criticized (and rightfully so) for those hideous Neeta Lulla creations she wore later on. I will try to post some pics of the outfits they are referring to. But seriously, I have no idea what Ash or Neeta Lulla were thinking of when they decided it would be ok for Ash to step out in an international event looking like a clown!
I still maintain that bollywood actresses look a thousand times better in saris and other Indian outfits than they do in evening gowns. I, for one, was very dissapointed to see that with the exception of Raveena and some of the older actresses, almost every actress was wearing a dress at the Zee Cine Awards and at IIFA this year.
