story so far

I have just started watching this show, and must admit that it is very lovable.
Can someone kindly post a brief summary of the show so far, and what the history is behind Armaan and Ridhima?

Senior Doctors

Dr. Shashank Gupta- Head of Sanjeevani

Dr. Keerti Mehra- In charge of the interns (they call her Gabbar/Hitler)

Dr. Shubhankar- Senior Doctor

Interns

Armaan Malik- Your average good looking (cool) guy who all the girls are totally fida over

Riddhimma Gupta (Ridzi)- Typical simple looking girl who values her family a lot and can do anything for them, daughter of Padma Bhansal (Nurse) but adopted by Dr. Shashank Gupta (her real dad left her mum when he realised she was pregnant)

Anjali (Anjie) Gupta- Riddhimma's (step) sister, started of as a 'negative' Character but has now changed. Best friends with Armaan.

Atul Joshi (Champ)- Sweet, Caring guy who's in love with Dr. Anjali... Thinks of Armaan as his brother (they're not related just friends)

Rahul Grewal- Originally from Punjab he used to go to the same school as Armaan but they started of as not friends but now they are (friends)... He was really geeky back in school but now he's not...

Muskaan Chehdaa- Happy go lucky 'punjabi kudi' who always manages to bring a smile to everyone's face, can talk for england and has a very 'unique' laugh ... Has known Rahul since childhood (their parents were going to get them married but she objected)... Doesn't get along with him (Rahul)

Dr. Sapna Shah- A simple gujrati girl who got along with everyone was 'in love' with Dr. Shubhankar but ended up marrying a guy called Amit, she has now left Sanjeevani (and the show).

Well... It started on 20th August 2007... Its basically a love story set in a hospital... Boy meets girl (Dr. Armaan & Dr. Riddhimma) they hate each other... They fight... Then fall in love... Minor misunderstandings... Back to bickering ... Right now they're acting as 'just friends'...

Sapna gets married... Muskaan's parents come to Mumbai (?) to see Muskaan & their damaad (who they think is Armaan because Muskaan was on the phone to them and shouted Armaan's name because she wanted to talk to him)

After Sapna's wedding... Muskaan's parents go back home & after a few days Muskaan gets a phone call from her mum saying her Dadi (Grandmother) is critically ill & she wants to see Muskaan & Armaan (her damaad )... So basically Muskaan asks Armaan but Armaan says no... Muskaan tries everything to take someone with her... Armaan sees her upset and says OK he'll go with her, but only for a while...

He goes to Riddhimma and says he has a friend who needs help, its a matter of life and death... Should he help him/her? Riddhimma says yeah thats what friends are for... If he/she needs you you should go... Don't worry about me...

Armaan reaches Patiala with Muskaan... There he meets her family (stereotypical Punjabi family ) and both of them find out Dadi isn't ill her and the family members had all planned this so that Muskaan comes home and they can show the 'gao-walle' (villagers) their damaad... Armaan wants to leave straight away but Muskaan's family stop him...

They go back to Sanjeevani... Rahul finds out (through his sister) that Armaan was the one who went to Patiala with Muskaan... He tells Armaan he knows and if Armaan ever hurts Muskaan, Rahul won't spare him...

All the interns decide to go and party (to get a break from all the stress)... The lights go down... They start dancing... They switch partners and Rahul thinks Muskaan is the one who he's dancing with... So he tells her just because Armaan went to Patiala with you doesn't mean he's changed from a Casanova to a one-woman man...Lights come back on...

Its Riddhimma... She has tears in her eyes... She accuses Rahul saying that Armaan was right all along you are after him... You're a spiteful human being etc etc... She goes to find Armaan...

Meanwhile Muskaan's giving Armaan a bracelet (as a thankyou for helping her)... She ties it on his wrist... Riddhimma enters and sees all this... She goes from there...

Riddhimma confronts Armaan... Saying she knows... Armaan tries to explain... She won't listen... He bangs the wall behind where she's stood... She says he's still the 'old' Armaan who lets his fists do the talking etc etc...

Armaan says he's sick & tired of Riddhimma always doubting him... She says if you're so sick and tired why do you come to meet me? He says Ok fine I won't... Riddhimma says go... Do you think I'll beg you ke Armaan please maat jao? No I won't... He leaves Sanjeevani goes to Kasauli... Leaves a note for Dr. Keerti saying he's leaving Sanjeevani forever... Dr. Shashank says he's gonna suspend Armaan... the interns manage to get 2 days time in which to bring Armaan back... Long story short Riddhimma manages to bring him back... He stops talking to her... Can't do his work properly... Dr. Shashank wants to fire him... So Riddhimma tries hard to bring the 'old masti bhara' Armaan back...

Then after a while they make up and become 'Just Friends'...Now they're back to staring at each other again ...

Armaan is flirting sort of guy and ridz is a simple girl.Ridz sister is Anjali and is totally different from her.Atul,Rahul and muskaan are their friends and in same internship batch.Armaan initially use to irritate ridz a lot and so they always use to fight with each other.Then there were some incident by virtue of which armaan started falling for ridz.Armaan then stopped all his pranks and they became good friends.Ridz wasn't quiet sure about their relationship but she too had fallen for him but was always reluctant to express because of his nature.Finally they confessed their love and started a relationship.But they were always possesive of each other and never use to be happy.Then there was patiala incident where armaan had gone to help muskaan and ridz misundertood it and there was break up in their relationship.Armaan tried his level best but ridz didn't listen and finally they again became friends but in their heart they still love each other and cannot live without each other.about other interns Atul loves anjali,Rahul loves muskaan and muskaan to a bit of extent love armaan.this has been story so far
