Bollywood's dancing bloopers!
Ajay Devgan's inability to comprehend anything remotely close to dance was quite obvious in his first few movies itself. Considering the ape like looks that he had, his Bollywood journey seemed pretty short-lived. Although, he did manage to survive with his exceptional acting skills, dance was still out of the question. It was after a long time that he danced again in the movie 'Golmaal'. By the way, I don't consider such minuscule movement of the body 'dance'. Most of the steps in the movie looked like they were choreographed especially for Ajay. I would like to request Ajay to stick to character roles and leave the dancing to the ones who can actually dance!
Sunny Paaji and dance are like the two ends of a pole. With all the doodh-jalebi he's been eating, there is hardly a chance he can move that stiff body of his. Non-dancing skills seem to be running in his blood. After all daddy dearest Dharmendra, could hardly manage to go beyond the Bhangra himself. Sunny's dancing handicap was quite well known and that's the reason very few actresses wanted to be cast opposite him. Well, another reason could be the kicks and punches he showered on the ladies while dancing. After all, Sunny paaji does have a dhai kilo ka haath. His dancing continues to harass the audience, but fortunately he's been making very few appearances.
Now, here is a guy who has the most obvious two left feet and still manages to pull off dance sequences with his antics and cliched steps. Remember the famous song 'Saki Saki' from the movie 'Musafir'. All he did throughout the song was either shake the knife around or watch Koena Mitra dance. The choreographers have a tough time with this guy. After all, how many times will he keep doing the same steps? Luckily, he's been doing quite a few films with Arshad Warsi, who's been a choreographer himself. Recently, he was seen in an item number for the film 'Woodstock Villa'. Casting Sanjay Dutt in an item number is the most bizarre idea I have ever heard. Thankfully, all he did in the song was lip sink with a guitar in his hand. Still, its way better than watching him dance!
If you think Saif Ali Khan is a good dancer, insanity is most certainly the word for you. Saif Ali Khan with all his antics tries his best, but can hardly pull off any dance sequence. Especially, since age seems to be catching on fast, his movements seem to be very restricted. If you've seen his recent disaster called 'Race', you would know exactly what I'm talking about. He does seem to be trying hard though. Maybe Kareena Kapoor's ex beau Shahid kapoor has to do something with it. After all, Shahid is known for being an excellent dancer.
Suniel Shetty is almost paralyzed when it comes to dancing and it is quite obvious too. His inability to dance is also one of the major reasons behind him mainly featuring in multi-starrer action movies, in his early days. Films like 'Mohra' saw him only in the action sequences while his counterpart Akshay Kumar got to do both. Now, Suniel Shetty is mainly seen in comedy roles and dancing continues to be an enigma. For Suniel dancing is all about lip sinking and walking around with your hands in the air. At least, he doesn't indulge in those scary jhatkas and matkas he tried to pull off in his early days.
