Scroll down to the bottom to see my pov on the Balle Balle Sequence in Green.😊-Shweta

After the disappointing Gore Gore dance and the horrible Dhol sequence, I am pleased to see that this Balle Balle sequence was performed well. Obviously it could've been better-here is the detailed analysis--

Like I've said before choreography takes many factors into consideration. Any song could be given, but one should be able to visualize that song in their own perspective. The song Balle Balle is perfect for a shaadi situation. The good thing about this song is that guys have a major role in the song. The best thing about the sequence was that the boys were the lead. Atul, Armaan, Rahool, & Shubhankar were very very enthusiastic and had exceptional facial expressions. The girls were obviously sidelined, which is great because their gore gore performance was very disappointing.

The beginning of the song was apt for the situation. The girls are upset and the guys are trying to show off how much better they are. The girls walking toward the guys and the guys walking toward the girls making them move backwards. Greatly done because everyone's expressions look great. 👏Armaan has a unique style and that becomes very evident when he dances. He just oozes with expressions and style that are necessary for the situation.👏 The step afterwards where the girls are standing and moving their hips subtly, while the guys are moving their shoulders back and then forward goes very well with the beat. And the step the girls do and then run off towards the stairs is very well done. One of the few steps the girl leads have done together & n'sync. 😳

Having the girls stationed at the top of the stairs is very well thought because not only is it the same as the real song sequence, but it also doesn't require much of the girls, but their facial expressions. The steps of the guys is very nicely done and chosen by the choreographer considering that Rahool is a non-dancer and Armaan isn't that great of a dancer. 👏

The girls coming down the steps during the "satsriakal soniyo" is very very well done! The expressions and the gentle movements of the girls looks great. Muskaan is EXCEPTIONAL! 👏 No wonder she is standing in the front!😳

The circle step wasn't necessary and looked a little bit repetitive as well as the moving forward and backward before the circle. It's okay the rest of the moves made up for it.

It's very hard to take a slow part of the song, where the main focus is on words and to choreograph it in such a way that the audience is caught in a wave of emotions. The part of the sequence on Padma and Shashank is beyond words. Not only could the love be felt, but it also drew a few tears. Great job to the choreographer, director, Shashank and Padma!👏👏

The nani sequence is very cute and apt for the situation. The partner steps afterwards is also well choreographed.

Through an unbiased view, Shubhankar and Muskaan were the stars of the song. Watch the expressions, style, grace, and enthusiasm in both during the whole sequence. They were simply amazing! Muskaan adorned a beautiful sari, put in the traditional punjabi style. She looked great and the movement with her hips were excentuated. Her twirl/spin in the end going past Rahool is too cute. Her expressions are not loud, nor subtle, but perfectly apt for the song and the dance sequence. Shubhankar kept his character alive in the dance. Nowhere could you see any other person besides the confused Shubhakar, who is madly in love with Keerti. Also he was the best dancer of the lot. Great job! You two were amazing! 👏👏

Anjali & Atul were too cute. Anjali looked extrordinary in her sari, also wearing it the traditional way. She also looked VERY comfortable. And that explains why she was able to dance well in the sari. Atul was also very innocent, but he shined in this sequence. Not once was he overshadowed by Armaan! Their ending partner step was very cutely done. It showed the blooming love between Atul and Anjali. 😳

Keerti didn't get much scope, but she did look beautiful in the sari she was wearing. She is a very graceful dancer as seen in the past few sequences, though I wish she was given a little bit more screen space. 😳 Riddhima was cute this time. Her hair was tied back and the color of her outfit was very pretty. Although I think the lengha looked a little loose for her, she did carry it off well. The only thing about her was that she carried one expression throughout, and that was of the confused look. The only time that expression was required was towards the end in the ooooo part, and since she was carrying the same expression throughout it was apt for that part. This time she was given subtle moves and she carried them off well. I'm thinking the choreographer did take some of our thoughts into consideration, or used his/her brain instead of a body double!😉

Rahool is not a dancer, we all know that. BUT BOY DID HE DO WELL! 👏 Major improvement from his past dance sequences. He looked great and had his own style. He did very well with the dance moves and the facial expressions.

Armaan is not that great of a dance, but not once does that thought cross your mind when you see him perform. He lost sync with the other guys and he forgot his steps a few times, but his facial expressions, his style, and his passion for what he was doing covered it all up. His enthusiasm and passion for what he does was evident throughout his performance. He went into the skin of the song and performed, but not once did he lose his character. That was the main thing, that could've easily been lost, but KSG is exceptional!👏👏👏

The dance was a big sigh of relief after the past two disappointing DMG dance sequences. If the performance could've been more rehearsed it would've been much better because the guys lost sync many times. Also Lovely was not required for this dance. During the circle she looked out of place and odd due to her lack of a partner. Also because of that Keerti was also a little confused about the steps to do during that circle. Some moves were repeated, but I would call the choreographer smart for that. It's better to repeat steps instead of giving harder steps that can't be carried off well. The doubt on the girl's talent is beginning to become visible through the choreography, which is very sad. 😕

The background dancers never fail to impress. They were great! Every step and every body part moved with the music and with perfect ease. I would like to applaud them! 👏👏👏

Overall this DMG Balle Balle dance sequence was much better than Gore Gore & Dhol sequences. The guys were a treat to watch and Muskaan was a delight! 😊

There are many things when putting together and choreographing a dance...this includes the moves, clothes, facial expressions, setting, and dancers.

today's Gore Gore dance was not bad, but wasn't great either. The essential part that was missing was the presence of the three lead actresses. Throughout the whole sequence Ridz, Anjali, and Muskaan looked like they were trying to remember what they were supposed to do.

Anjali should've worn a better outfit--for the first time she looked uncomfortable. Her duppatta dropped and she left it there, but Armaan remembered that she needed it for the next scene so he picked it up and gave it to her. ummm why? Isn't this supposed to be where the director shouts "Cut!" and conduct a re-take???

Ridz chose a nice outfit to dance in--great color--but some of her moves didn't suit the outfit she was wearing. Towards the end of the song where she blocks Armaan in the stairs using her leg looks so out of place and wrong. She could've brought her arm forward and could've leaned in front of Armaan instead.

Muskaan chose a wonderful outfit. Color and style matching the atmosphere and her clothing sense. She looked comfortable as ever. If she was given a little bit more of a focus and screen space then the song would've turned out much better!

The three lead girls were off amongst each other and the background dancers. They repeatedly lost sync and couldn't match each others steps.

The boys didn't have much to do besides being pushed around. They still did great considering the girls were so off.

Armaan's facial expressions were great as always. He paid attention to his hands and his whole body language. If he was sitting he had a certain way that matched the song and situation. If he was standing or walking he had a certain style, which went along with the song.

Atul matched up to Armaan this time in regards to style. He went along with the lyrics--acted as a TRUE hero! But he also lived up to his character and innocence. Great job Atul!

Rahool looked great and was hand in hand with Atul and Armaan. He had the suave looks, and style that reminded me of Saif and his acting in Hum Tum.

The three guys were great, but sadly they couldn't take the dance further since the sequence depended mostly on the main girls.

The girls could've given more facial expressions. They didn't look graceful instead all their efforts were visible.

Compared to past sequences in DMG, the choreographer of this sequence along with the 3 main lead actresses have disappointed. It wasn't bad, but it didn't match up to the other dance sequences that DMG has seen.

The saving grace were the background dancers, who looked the part and seemed as if they were just lifted out of the original Hum Tum sequence. Great job girls! 👏

The setting was great and the atmosphere was great. Using outdoors, the terrace, and the stairs was a good idea. It was different and provided loads of space to do something. When the girls pushed the guys outside and began skipping around them singing Gore gore se chore was nice..but when the lyrics ended and the music kept going they continued to skip, this looked out of place and this showed on their faces.

The ending of the song was nice, the sudden black and white of the backdrop and a focus on Armaan, who has just gone to a surreal world of love was superbly done. It showed where his heart, mind, and soul was at the moment--lost in his love Riddhima. The sudden collision between Riddhima and Armaan at the end was also nicely done, looked as if Riddhima suddenly entered Armaan's surreal world of love.

A choreographer's job isn't only to work on the dance moves. A true choreographer can turn a non-dancer into an amazing performer. A choreographer's work includes the way the dancers carry the moves, the setting and prop usage, the facial expressions carried by everyone on screen/stage, the outfits that match the atmosphere and dance moves, and the overall presentation.

After watching the dhol sequence there are a few things (good & bad) that I would like to point out. Obviously I will give more details after they air that dance sequence, but till then here is my pov on the promo & precap.

The major prop used in this sequence is the dhol. Like I said before props & setting is also an integral part of choreography. The way Armaan is holding the dhol is extraordinary and thoroughly professional. 👏 In many bollywood films actors are given instruments to hold and pretend as if to be playing them. Rarely do you find actors, who don't know how to play them, but act as if they have been playing the instrument since the age of 2. For example, in Koyla Shah Rukh Khan as Shankar takes to the dhol during the song Saanson ki Mala Pe. With the right attitude apt for the situation, Shankar plays the dhol properly and with the beat of the music. This is very very difficult to do for an actor. And seriously hats off to Karan Singh Grover! 👏 In the promo & precap the dhol is held properly and even played in beat. He also carries off the facial expressions as well that are perfect for the competition that he has just entered into. Now if he was playing for real or not is another story, but he totally deserves due credit for making the sequence a worth watch. 👏

Karan Singh Grover was extraordinary in the dhol sequence. Major disappointment Ridz couldn't match up to his dhol! 😕

Now onto the setting & atmosphere. Everyone looks completely in mood for this with the perfect expressions. Once again Rahool and Atul you guys are simply FAB! 👏 The Punjabi dholi's in the background is a nice touch to this sequence. Their moves are subtle, yet well choreographed using easy dance moves. They also look very cute in their matching outfits. 😳

Ridz & Armu's matching outfits are a delight to the eyes. They look fab in orange. And what I like the most about the sequence is that a girl is dancing to the dhol beat in a SARI! That's the best part. It is often thought that a sari is very uncomfortable to dance in, but I tend to disagree. You could wear anything and dance as long as you yourself is comfortable in the clothing you are wearing. Ridz looks most comfortable in the sari this time. She has the sari pinned on her shoulder strap and the way she tucks it in around her waist is great. 😊

Now this is to the choreographer & director. The audience is not made up of fools! There was absolutely NO NEED to use a body double for this sequence. If the lead actress could not do some steps than the steps should've been changed. There are many creative ways to choreograph a dhol sequence. In the close-up shots Ridz looks cute and very comfortable, but in the far away shots it's visible in an instance that the girl dancing is not Ridz. That is a major disappointment. And a shame for the choreographer & director. 😕

The main thing for the dhol sequence is to make it as natural as possible. More like a free style dance. The dance moves shown in the precap, by the body double are horriable. Obviously since it's a body double the hair should be flying all over the place to cover the face. But let's forget the body double part for a minute. Along with tucking in the sari, Ridz should've pinned her hair back with a clip. The moves in the precap--the twist looks horrible and messy. The step before the twist is not clean and clear. The spin is very good because it is a complete circle around Armaan. Very nicely done! Too bad it's not Ridz.😕

Ridz beginning to the dance sequence is very cute. And then all her moves shown in close-up are also cute & well done by her. She looks like she is having fun and ready for the competition. Unfortunately, the fall onto Armaan does not look real. This could be because the spin is done by the body double, not Ridz that's why the fall/stop didn't have a natural look.

By the looks of the promo&precap, it seems the dance sequence is ready to disappoint. And after watching the entire dhol sequence the dance did disappoint--big time! I think Ridz could've easily taken the competition further if it was only her dancing and not her double. This obviously is the choreographers and director's fault for not giving Ridz other and BETTER steps, so she could do it on her own. 😳

The dance moves didn't match the beat of the dhol as well as I thought they would. It's a disappointment to see this kind of sequence in DMG after watching beautiful dance sequences in the past. What's even more disappointing is the lack of trust on the lead actress to perform a dance sequence. Disappointed in the choreographer & director for ruining such a beautiful concept. Saving grace was ARMAAN no doubt! 😳

This is my point of view as a choreographer. By no means is this to offend anyone. Do comment and leave your own pov. 😊

amazingly said....
the whole dance, i did feel an uncomfort amongst the girls....
specially ridhima's suit, it was really nice, but they could have made her wear more of INDIAN types of suits, with more work on it.. just like muskaan's..

the dance was fun.. but yea the coordination needed a lot more work 😆

Wow Shweta you are wonderful choreographer yaar. I have no idea about dancing much, but can say that the dance wasnt match with the lyrics. Song was so on fast beat, and girls wasnt enthusiastic at all. I love this song alot, and Rani did wonderful work. Guys were too good, but girls wasnt good as they should have to.
