Actor Ayaz Khan talks about his silver screen debut and being single in the city
The face of many an advertisement with big brands, model-turned-actor Ayaz Khan, who was also seen in a serial called Dil Mil Gaye will be seen debuting in Aamir Khan Productions' Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na.
But unfortunately for him, he cannot bask in the glory of his stint in the movie as he is the surprise element of the movie. He better not disclose anything much about his character as he has already been 'instructed' not to, by producer Aamir Khan.
"I had spoken about it to Aamir but he wanted everybody to know about my presence in the movie, closer to the release date. I can't argue about it. Anyway, it's okay because once the movie is released, everybody will come to see it and they'll get to know," says Ayaz.
But what is he getting from doing this movie, 'cos all the limelight has been taken away by Aamir's nephew Imran Khan and Genelia D' Souza?
"In this movie, I got to showcase so many shades to my character — charisma, romance, passion, hatred — I played it all. Any director could judge me and give me roles based on this. Even my role in the movie is of importance because it defines the change in the protagonists' (Imran and Genelia) friendship. The story would not have made sense if the character I'm playing was not there," says Ayaz, who cracks a few jokes in between this discussion.To think of it, Ayaz has been in the glamour world for the last 10 years. So, what has he been up to, we ask? He seems to be a very satisfied 30-year-old, with a vision of his own. "I've been doing a lot of advertisements. And for a year now, I've been busy shooting for Dil Mil Gaye for 12-13 days a month," says Ayaz who's a self-confessed 'bubbly' person. He dreams of playing roles that'll test his talent as an actor. "When I do good work, it makes me happy. And the most important thing for me is to enjoy what I do," says the model-turned-actor.
On a lighter note, Ayaz tells us the story of his life in the monsoons. He says, "Every monsoon, in this nice weather, I'm without a girl (chuckles). It's like a shaap and it's extremely frustrating. I don't know why, the break-up always happens a little before the monsoons."
Well, we do hope he gets someone nice this monsoon!
