Even though Rani Mukherji plays the lead in Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic, it is Amisha Patel, who plays the second lead in the film, who has taken away all the kudos from producer Aditya Chopra. And this even before the release of the film.
According to our source, she has managed to impress Adi so much that he has offered her two more films under the YRF banner.
And no, this new development has not gone down too well with Adi's favourite heroine, Rani.
Apparently Amisha will star in the film to be directed by Shaad Ali, for which Ranbir Kapoor has already been signed on in the lead role.
Our source says, "A trial of the film was held a couple of days ago and Aditya Chopra professed great satisfaction with Amisha's performance - although Amisha does not play the lead role. The lead role of the film is played by Rani Mukherji.
Adi was so impressed by Amisha's performance that he complimented her heartily and told her that she would also be part of two more Yash Raj films. Naturally, Amisha is elated.
But Rani is not very happy about this. Of late, Rani has been behaving like the boss of the YRF Studios. Naturally she is upset and feeling a trifle insecure."
The source further says, "Rani is also unhappy that in spite of her being the leading lady, there is more focus in the media on Amisha - set off by rumours of a link-up between director Kunal Kohli and Amisha."
