❤️Story so far - Our Journey From Marriage To Divorce
The story begins with Maan and Geet getting married, but this is far from a normal happy marriage.
Geet is in love with Dev and has been forced by her father into marrying Maan. On their very first night, she makes her feelings clear to Maan and asks him for a divorce. Maan, surprisingly, doesn't create a scene or force her into anything. He calmly tells her that they will deal with it.
But Maan has his own painful past. He had once loved Sameera, only to discover that she had already married someone else that left him deeply hurt.
Maan and Geet travel to Delhi, where they have to stay together while the divorce process begins.
Maan's family is completely unaware of the reality of their marriage. They are thrilled that Maan has finally married and shower Geet with affection. Maan plays along because his parents' happiness matters enormously to him.
Geet, meanwhile, remains angry and distant. She is irritated whenever Maan behaves like a husband in front of others.
Maan eventually explains that he isn't trying to build a marriage with her. He simply wants to keep his parents happy while also fulfilling her wish for divorce. He even tells her that he, too, has experienced love and heartbreak.
In Delhi, Geet discovers another side of Maan.
He is a popular radio jockey, and his work gives him a completely different personality-confident, witty and friendly. The irony is while his own marriage is falling apart, he has to talk on air about love, relationships and even a couple celebrating 50 years of marriage.
Their divorce application is filed, but the court makes it clear that they cannot simply separate immediately. They have to live together for six months before the divorce can be finalized.
Their new life together becomes a mixture of irritation, arguments, and unexpected moments.
Maan's neighbours are warm and friendly, and they naturally treat Geet as Mrs. Maan, something she absolutely hates.
Maan, however, doesn't behave cruelly toward her. He cooks, manages things around the house and generally tries to keep the situation peaceful, while Geet continues to behave stubbornly.
Slowly, however, little cracks begin appearing in Geet's attitude.
One of the biggest turning points so far happens when Ravi, a young man who loves a girl, gets into trouble because her family doesn't approve of their relationship.
A dangerous man and his men arrive, and the situation becomes serious.
Geet becomes genuinely frightened-not only for Ravi, but also for Maan.
Maan handles the entire situation intelligently. Rather than simply using violence, he understands the circumstances and manages to protect Ravi and the girl.
Later, he explains to Geet that the two young people genuinely love each other and that he intends to help them be together.
That conversation affects Geet.
For perhaps the first time, she begins to understand that Maan isn't the cold, uncaring person she had imagined him to be. He actually goes out of his way to help other people find happiness-even while his own life is miserable.
Geet has slowly started understanding Maan without even realizing it herself.
When she realizes that Maan is willing to help Ravi and the girl reunite despite having his own problems, she questions him:
If he can struggle so much to unite two strangers, why can't he help her find Dev?
Maan's answer is simple:
She never asked him before.
She asked for a divorce, and he agreed to give her one.
But now that she has actually asked him to help her find Dev, Maan promises that he will.
He begins looking into Dev's whereabouts and manages to obtain information connected to him. Geet also sees a photograph of Sameera, giving her another glimpse into Maan's painful past.
