Geet was pleased hearing him. And he was right as well maybe something would have happened to Ravi if Maan had not interferred... As all were busy blaming Ravi for no mistake of his.

"Kahi pe rehne vali ek ladki aur humari neighbour ki ek ladke ko ek karne keliye aap itne struggle kar rahi hai... Mai to aapike sath rehti hu. Par aap ne kabhi mujhe aur Dev ko milane ke bath nahi ki?"

Dev was not a don or something, that Maan would have to fight or to put up an act like he did just a while ago.

Geet had no idea on where and how she would find Dev, but Maan's words gave her hope that she would reunite with Dev if Maan helps her.

She looked at Maan anxiously for an answer.

"You didn't ask me. You asked for divorce and I'm giving you that."

"Ok.. I'm asking you now. Will you please help me?"

"Definitely"

If Geet could get her love and happiness then he was no one to come in the way of her happiness.

Just because his fate was destined to be like this doesn't mean others shouldn't be happy, be it his own wife.

He agreed with a small smile seeing Geet's eyes lit up.

"What are the details that you got about Dev? I mean like the last time you met him, spoke to him!"

"One minute" Geet rushed into her room and rushed back with the same speed carring an old phone which she was not using currently.

Mixed with overflowing emotions of anxiety and excitement she started blabbering

"This is the only communication that's between me and Dev.

* she pointed to a number on the screen as she gave her phone to Maan*

Lastly mujhe iss number se phone kiyatha, he said that my father was not letting us to meet.

Aur uske badh I tried contacting him through this number but no use. But I'm still hoping that someday he will call me because ours is true love"

Maan was holding himself to not laugh on her. The way she explained was funny. He doubted if she herself understood what she was saying.

But he burst out laughing at the end

"What are you trying to say... Haha"

"Aapko ee sab joke jaise lag rahi hai?" Geet was offended

" Aur nahi to kya.. Phone.... Call... Kuch bi kahe jarahi ho haha."

"Mai kudh Dev ko doond lungi. Mujhe aapki help ki zarooth nahi hai. Thank you very much."

Geet snatched her phone and left from their hurt, while Maan regretted laughing at her.

After a few seconds of confronting himself, Maan walked to Geet's room and rose his hand to knock the door

'Mere permission ke bina aap mere room mai nahi aasakte'

Made him stop, he slowly pushed open the door to find Geet lying on the bed with her back facing him and predicted that she must be crying because of her moving shoulders.

He sneekly pulled out her old phone that was on a table just beside the door and walked off.

It wae evening when Maan walked back into the silent house, he looked around locating where Geet was

"Moblie number 934123231* which is in Dev's name.. Residential address is ******, Delhi.

Moblie number not in use, ghar mai kohi nahi hai.. Jo the vo bi shift hui hai. These are the details that I have got as of now."

Geet who waa reading a random book in the living room was shocked and surprised hearing Maan. She never thought that he would actually her her when he had laughed in the morning.

But the last line did disappoint her.

"Lekin wo nahi mili na!"

"Hadh hai yar, har samay negative thoughts?. Now look, the number could have been anywhere right. Lekin Delhi mai hi hai..aur to aur tum bi to Delhi hi aayiho..and I know Delhi well. "

"Thanks" a beautiful smile lit up Geet's face.

"Hmm.. If you don't mind..Can I ask you a question?" Geet asked hesitantly

"Ya, go ahead"

"You are so concerned about other peoples love.. but why did you give up your own?"

We leave in such a world where people have almost forgotten about humanity, and amongst them Geet was kind of surprised seeing a man like Maan.. Who risked his life to save the lovers in the morning and now is helping her as well.

She was curious to know what had made him to give up on the girl whom he claimed to love.

Maan was expecting Geet to ask anything but not this one, but her next statement confused him

"But she is very beautiful!" Geet exclaimed

"How do you know?"

"I'm sorry, iss book mai ye photo mili"

Geet pointed towards the book that was in her hand, passing the photo to Maan. She looked at Maan trying to analyze it she had actually upset him or he would feel happy seeing the photo.

Maan looked at the photo with no expression, and his next statement was something that Geet had not expected

"Sab kuch jala diya tha.. Looks like I missed this one."

Maan went on telling how he had met her in clg and it was love at first site. Etc etc.

By the end Geet saw the photo lit up by fire at one side while Maan held the other.

"Finally she married someone else. That's the end" saying that Maan realized his hand and the photo fell on the floor which was almost in ashes.

"Yaade dard degina?" Geet asked concerned hearing Maan's story. She really felt bad for him

"Nahi. Pehle hotiti, lekin aab nahi."

Even Maan was a kind of confused on not feeling pain when he saw the photo or while he narrated.. For one should feel a atleast a little bit of sting? Non the less it was good for himself thinking so he brushed off these thoughts.

"Didn't she say why she did that? "

"Huh.. Lekin 'Tumko mujhse bi aachi ladki milegi' aise aashirvad karke chalegayi"

Geet who was sad hearing Maan's past, was now feeling terrible at what he said at last.

There was a fraction of second where this thought if she was doing it right crossed her mind.. But it disappeared as soon as it appeared, because she considered that she was not that aachi ladki that was made for him.

It would be great if you could suggest me some titles..

"Milana" is what I have thought.

If you prefer the current one I'm fine with it.

The current title kind of gives negative vibes, I don't know why

Curious Update

Maan had looked into where Dev is

but seems like he went missing leaving Geet

while Maan probably had a heartbreak early in his life

Great update 😃 looks like geet will also have a heart break as dev is not true with her waiting for next update 💝

of cos Maan agreed to help Geet find Dev

Maan's question was reasonable

so Geet had an old phone that she communicated with Dev

oh Maan laughed at Geet

as expected she was angry

at least Maan found some information about about Dev

Maan told Geet about him and Sameera
