I read on Reddit that her mother already knows what is happening with her and told her to keep quiet.

I haven't been following the show religiously but after I saw that park scene with Jeet and Soumya on FB, I did try doing a fast forward catch-up. Now I'm looking forward to when Soumya tells her family - though I expect that they won't believe her. They may need to see live proof to finally believe her. Just hoping CVs don't drag this track too long. The focus should be on Soumya coming out of her shell and also Jeet's backstory.
