I have a vivid memory of watching this movie in theatre and damn the storyline and acting was something... Goosebumps included
Absolutely. Mardaani had that rare combination of a genuinely tense story and a lead performance that never felt like it was trying too hard. Rani Mukerji carried the film with so much control and intensity that the serious subject matter felt even more unsettling.
The confrontation scenes still hit hard, and the film's pacing helped a lot-no unnecessary glamour, just a straightforward thriller that kept the tension building. Definitely one of those films where the theatre experience made the impact even stronger.
