The debate over E20 petrol has intensified after Union Minister Nitin Gadkari challenged critics to produce even one person whose vehicle was damaged solely because of ethanol-blended fuel.

Responding to the challenge, activist Tehseen Poonawalla claimed he has not one but six vehicle owners who allegedly faced problems after using E20 petrol. He has urged Gadkari to meet them in person, with one condition - the meeting should take place in front of the media and be live-streamed so the public can hear both sides.

Poonawalla also alleged that Delhi Police prevented him from going to the minister's residence and requested an official appointment instead. Meanwhile, Gadkari has maintained that no evidence has shown E20 alone causes vehicle damage, although he acknowledged that mileage may reduce slightly because ethanol contains less energy than petrol.

The exchange has further fueled the nationwide debate over E20 fuel, with supporters highlighting its environmental and economic benefits, while critics continue to raise concerns about vehicle compatibility, mileage, and long-term engine performance.
