He never has/ had extra marital affair. Both Reena and Kiran are way too mature and too modern, almost like Hollywood ppl. In western world this is very normal. After divorce husband wife stays like bro-sis and they attend rach other's wedding parties too. Yes , for Indians divorce means the man should stalk the wife and try to ruin her new life etc. Ex- Shalin, Saif etc. Wife will also bitch against husband. Make the thing so toxic that at last their kids will attempt to suicide atleast once in life time. If the neighbors do not see this they will keep mocking , yelling etc till they don't give up and do so.

For Amir...mature wives, mature kids. New generation , new era is starting. People will marry at 90. just before death too...marty 500 times till they get the right partner. This is future. Take it or leave it. But this will be future.

At that time it was forbidden to marry and tell that to world sp so early in someone's career. But he told it. Never hid.

Also he took less work too because he wanted to spend more time with his son and wife. He actually declared that in public .When Sallu was taking whatever comes in hand, 24/7 working Amir remained 1 movie/ year man due to stay with his family. He was the first actor at that era who brought this huge change, now Yash and many other actors are following him, although they are unmarried.

In fact many blamed Reena to be over demanding wife and many claimed she is the reason for distruction of his career so early (working less etc). There was Govinda, married, kids, working 24/7 with backup of Sunita. Comparing to Sunita, Reena wasn't supportive.To satisfy her he took her in Lagan. But that didn't save his marriage.
