I cannot connect with shiv or shalni at all. They have lifted the current track from OG and showing it now. In the OG, Shiv and Shalini know their real identities. There is trust and understanding that one could survive any kind of deadliest attacks. Even if Shiv is told to be killed, Shalini keeps the hope that he might be allive and hiding to bring the truth because she knows he is an undercover agent. Shiv also knows shalini can survive on her own because she is an agent as well.
But here, there is no way that shiv can be in hiding and let his innocent wife face the cruel world. And he was shown as disgruntled lover, not a father. The emotions do not stick
It is sad state of affairs that they did this to a well balanced Shiv.
As I mentioned yesterday, I have different point-of-view here. I know I have missed a lot of episodes in between, but in my opinion, this was one of the point I wanted in the show - atleast they covered something, though not as put up as nicely.
I know everyone takes Shiv-Parshuram as same person (which he is technically), but these two are - two completely different personalities. There was always a question for me, which one is real or dominant one.
Shiv was always shown to be little irresponsible in the start in terms of not remembering anniversary or how he didn't care for Shalini's respect and made scene in party and all, I think his character may have grown later; but there was always little sense of lousy and clumsiness. His love was genuine, but initially it never came across. At this point, I feel CVs did better job to show Shiv to be a responsible father when he sent money to Shalini for kids. He is unaware of money being stolen and all, I think. As for Shalini - I think he has seen her stronger, without even needing any agent side. I think she has fought with people, slapped Noodle and his friend, or even Karan if I am not wrong; So it's fair for him to assume that Shalini will manage too, specially if she can hold the gun to shoot.
Now coming to stark in contrast is Parshuram, whose hands wouldn't shiver, who was mostly impulsive, filled with anger and no-nonsense man. His forte was to never forgive criminals and show them their place! Fighting for right, ensuring everyone supports the same. You know, despite tremendous pressure from family on Shalini to not go against Noodles, he was right there adding another layer of pressure on Shalini to support the right against Dixits. Oh I disliked that track so much of Noodle wedding because constant pressure and negativity around Shalini was overbearing and Shalini centric. And Parshuram was there making plan B for having Chintu if Shalini fails. So, he didn't step back from putting stress and pressure on Shiv's family for justice - mostly because he was confident there that he would manage his family and take care of them.
Parshuram was unforgiving towards Dixit because he was never directly attached to them, unlike Shalini. Hence, we always had dialogues like, "Sorry Shalini, Shiv can forgive, but Parshuram cannot!" And so on. Hence, I wanted Shalini to be on team Criminal for showing Parshuram's emotional side! Unlike Dixits, he is deeply in love with Shalini and hence attached to her. Would he have continued with "Sorry, Shalini I cannot forgive criminals and arrest her or point gun at her?" or would he have craved in, and tried to mending Shalini's way of life secretly and protect her?
Unfortunately, though the criminal side of Shalini came as just a ruse, and not real criminal, but I got to see his plan of action. This is exactly what's happening even now! He is letting his inner Parshuram take over Shiv's loving side. What I didn't like was weaker side of Parshuram
- but now I take this as Shiv's love for Shalini interfering in Parshuram's mission. So, probably both sides are dominant.
As I said, had any of those rumours of Shalini been true and had she asked forgiveness, Parshuram wouldn't have taken a second thought forgiving her, and would let his: "Sorry Shalini, I cannot forgive criminals" attitude go to hell
, the same man who shot someone on leg for eve teasing his wife!
I am glad we have Parshuram back in full force; just loved him today investigating and putting in right pieces.
They have unnecessarily dragged this whole thing into a messy triangle. What was even the point of showing engagement if the very next moment, Shiv had to get more determined. I feel they have changed the plot and now heading towards conclusion.
Also, Shalini annoys me with her obsession to save her cover. Like sorry, I find her character to be little confused/inconsistent.
I like how this show still has so much of scope for discussion; wish Seher can give me such opportunity too soon, but seems that's just plain romantic saga.
