"Alia Bhatt showing she is indeed a star!!?"
What a question... of course she already i s a star... and I hope, Imtiaz' movie and Alpha will make Sharvari a star, too... fortunately n o t with the baggage Alia brought with her.
Already the fact how much Alia is in the focus of the social media circus (including this forum) is a proof that she is a star... and looking at the comparisons done here immediately, the talking about her matches the one about the 2 other female superstars the Hindi movie has/had in the last 2 decades, so looking at t h a t, Alia even is a superstar.
But it is also about her work...and there, she is an actress, who can bring good performances but who - imo unnecessarily desperately - tries to prove something that rings false (to me)... I really, really hope that she either changes her far-too-loud pr or something in her choices and her kind of competitive spirit.
It was she who wanted to do a spy movie in YRF's SpyUniverse (it wasn't Aditya who asked her)... and, well, yes, not like the 2 other female stars with a male-female lead pairing..
At that time, YRF was just following the idea of making a male-male leading pairing in War 2, too, as War had such a surprising success because of the homoerotic undertone. So, I guess, the idea of a female pairing wasn't that far-fetched (personally, I liked the idea for War 2 and - after the trailer - am hyped for the one chosen for Alpha)...
But then, the choice of the directors (a Maneesh Sharma who failed with Fan and Ayan who failed with Brahmastra and now a quite unknown Shiv Rawail) and the flaws in the story telling supported the growing negative campaigns against the Chopra-filmimperium... and Shridhar Raghavan as the screenplay-writer is not at all consistent in delivering screenplays applicable to a current climate (he got his National Award in 2005!). Dhurandhar somehow 'sealed' the reception of Alpha (the real downer was the time of release).
It will be interesting to get to know: what will come after Alpha and Love&War...
Your right in everything you said

This is like a nice rap song bar 👌
Alia should have changed her PR company, the year Dharma went down. It is a trainwreck. Reshma Shetty is tone deaf, and hasn't changed with time. What worked with Salman,Katrina, doesn't work with everyone. Less is more.Patience is a great virtue.
