I doubt that is true at all.

I mean Jyoti Deshpande, the head of Jio Studios literally said he went for profit sharing deal and made the bank but sure. In fact there are chances he probably made more than this as him and Dhar had supposedly even covered production cost in the last phase in Ladakh which is why when the unit has food poisoning Dhar and Veer were hands on with no word from Jio.

Ranveer has his own Production house.I think he will invest in most of his future films.

Ranveer registered Maa Kasam Films (MKF) already in 2017 (with his mother as partner), but officially announced it only 3 years later (afaIk).

And yes relative to Dhurandhar: Ranveer personally stepped in to rescue the film financially when it hit major budget troubles. ... As Dhurandhar originally was mounted as a single movie by Jio Studios, but the scale expanded, Dhar required extensive additional shooting schedules and the production costs doubled. Jio Studios initially halted further funding, leaving the project in limbo. ...However, believing fully in the film, Ranveer and Aditya chose to forgo their usual upfront acting/directing fees and - reportedly - infused approximately ₹35 to ₹50 crore of their own money to fund the extra shooting days and complete the project.

As far as I know, also Sanjay Dutt and Akshaye forwent their upfront salaries in favor of backend equity.

Aditya made a movie that became the one with the highest return on investment in Hindi Cinema with a quite low budget for both the parts together (I think it was lower than 300 cr) because of skillfully splitting the extended material he had (with some additional shots).

Because that is not how the box office go, theaters take half of the box office, Jio get the lion share plus the distribution. This info is false.

Do you have a (reliable) source for that assertion?

The films have made more than 4000 cr in revenue across all theatrical, music and other broadcast rights on a budget of 300cr max ...lol...even after you take out costs and distributor's share they have easily made just profit in excess of 1500cr or more so yes Ranveer's share makes absolute sense. So no this info is not false since Jyoti herself confirmed he took profit share, you on the other hand seem to be having a hard time accepting Dhurandhar and Ranveer's success seeing how you were claiming it is a flop on OTT and were proven otherwise. Similarly this is just coming off from a place of bitterness and inability to accept the reality and I know why that issmiley36

Unfortunately for you, given Ranveer took not just profit share but most likely even a cut for putting in his own money, his actual share in the pie maybe higher than what is being reported.
