I gave up halfway Duo Zhao is reborn as 9yo I guess. Nearly 100 chapters are spent in her childhood. Then around 120 she meets Song Mo for the first time after being reborn. Then comes slow burn and then they hide their relationship for a good amount of chapters - I definitely didn't have that much patience! I heard the novel is good but just didn't hit me well

Compared to Blossom I liked The First Jasmine's novel. Around 450+ chapters and the pacing is also good! And the novel is definitely better than the drama

The final chapter, "The Return of an Old Friend," was so long that I spent more than an hour just reading it.

The text was incredibly lengthy. Shen Miao was in a coma for six months !

I laughed so much while reading the scenes with the twins.

Xie Jingxing took them out for a stroll and was feeding them rice porridge, and the two little troublemakers were incredibly mischievous.

One of them even peed on him, which made the whole scene absolutely hilarious.

Based on the way Xie Jingxing is described in the novel, I have my doubts about whether the drama will be able to do justice to the character.

I am still unsure whether the actor can truly portray him well.

Btw These courtesy names are so confusing. How is anyone supposed to remember so many names?

One person alone has several different names.

Sometimes I feel like I'm reading about a completely new character, only to realize it's actually the same person with another name. Keeping track of everyone becomes really difficult

It's a part of the Novoland series. This is only a part among many other works. Around 30? or something. So far around 20 novels have drama adaptation

Anyway, I'm starting Legend of the Female General now.

He Yan's rebirth is different from Shen Miao's.

She is reborn into another He Yan's body.

Now I understand why the drama might have changed or omitted the rebirth aspect, since her appearance changes.

Both of them are named He Yan, but they are different people.

I've read up to Chapter 6.

The same author's 4th story also has the same style of rebirth. The rest are like Shen Miao's.

Overall rebirth part is omitted in Chinese dramas since someone committed suicide hoping they'll be reborn in ancient times! That created a lot of unrest and the drama adaptation stopped doing it now.
