Chapter 4

Shivansh was trying to find a chaperone for Prarthana to come with them on their expedition. But, he could not find anyone in the royal palace suitable to travel with Prarthana. Then he remembered Jay’s wife Nandini is from a different country and her sister works as a detective over there and they could possibly portray Prarthana is Jay’s sister in law and she can come with Jay as she is helping us solve the mystery surrounding our kingdom.

Shivansh tells one of his guards to go to Jay’s apartment and inform him that Shivansh wants to meet him.

Jay comes over to Shivansh’s residence. Jay says Shivansh you called me over? Is their an emergency?

Shivansh says Jay Prarthana wants to come with us on this expedition and I thought she can come as your sister in law and if anyone suspects we can says she is your sister in law who has come here to Solve the mystery lurking in the kingdom.

Jay shockingly says what? Then says fine we can do that.

In the morning Shivansh sends a maid to call Prarthana to come to front entrance of the royal palace.

Prarthana comes there and says Yuvraj you called me?

Shivansh says you wanted to come with us on this expedition right?

Prarthana says yes

At same time Jay shows up and Shivansh Introduces Jay

Shivansh says he is my senapati and friend and you are going to come as his Sister in law who has come to solve the mystery surrounding vijayGarh

Then Shivansh turns to Jay and says ready they climb into two chariots. Shivansh and Jay in one and Prarthana in another chariot.

They go to further end of the kingdom where it’s covered with a dense forest where no sunlight is reaching the ground.

They saw crumbling stones covered in veils of a unknown plant that was looking like it was sucking out life. The broken pillars jutting out like jagged teeth where once life was thriving.

Prarthana pov:

As they got off their respective chariots she saw a place that was giving a eerie feeling yet she was fascinated with the inscriptions she saw on the pillars that was written in a ancient script thus it was really hard to read. She wondered how will she meet the lady here and how will she find way back home from here in place like this. A mystery in mystery. How is this place different from the current kingdom residence and how is related to vijayGarh.

Shivansh pov

This place is so unbelievable is this the very place that once had pillars decorated with various precious stones and had legendary legacy inscriptions carved into the pillars .this the place where the royal court was once conducted with honesty and trust that our kings and queens will protect us.

After the horrific tragedy no one once set their foot here thinking its invitation to doom.

As they moved further in through the creaking doors they could hear whisper of wind through hollow corridors as it was trying to tell them there story

Then the faint trace of incense came from above as if someone was approaching them yet they could not see anyone . They looked around all sides yet no one could be seen.

Then out of nowhere a women appeared as if she just landed here from thin air.

Pagli says Yuvraj I am right here.

Shivansh, Prarthana and Jay turned around.

Pagli in a serious tone says I know why you are here but let’s see if you are ready for the future. She says I will help you on one condition that is you will answer my 3 questions Yuvraj.

Shivansh says Pagliji I here to answer your questions and ask for your help so this young woman can go back to her world. Please ask me your questions.

Pagli says what foremost important for a king?

Shivansh says his people as they represent the society and its kingdom, the safety of society depends on there livelihood plus proper governance to ensure his kingdom can thrive and no one innocent get punished.

Pagli says good answer. But now here is my next question. What is a important quality to have yet some may have a hard time doing it.

Shivansh says Kshama is a important quality and yet some people have a hard time doing it.

Pagli says right answer. Now my third question is what is one power everyone has whether they rich or poor.

Shivansh says willpower

Pagli says excellent. She says remember all these answers they will help you get through all of this. Then Pagli seats down cross legged position closes her eyes and chants some mantra then after a while then she opens her eyes again and looks at Shivansh then at Prarthana then at Shivansh .

Then she says Yuvraj what if I tell you the woman you are trying to help is one who chosen to break the curse on vijaygarh therefore she travelled through time and landed here in your kingdom. To break the curse it might require sacrifice from both of you or just one.

Then Pagli gets up walks up to Prarthana using her hand raises Prarthana chin a little and looks into her eyes and says if you want to go back to your time you will have to make a sacrifice too as nothing is free.

Prarthana says what can I do. Pagli says when time will come you will know what you need to do for the kingdom.

Then she walks over to Shivansh and says Yuvraj you must become the king first before you can break the curse and open the portals. A Yuvraj must be married to become a king as per ancient tradition. Then she goes far off into a corner brings out a bag and takes out a thick book that is locked with inscription. She tell Shivansh only the married queen’s blood with oath of loyalty can open this book.

She also says when they need her in future she will come to them. Then she walks away only to appear to disappear in thin air

As Pagli was gone she raised many questions in the trios mind. Shivansh :How is Prarthana the solution to the curse, Prarthana: what sacrifices will she have to make for the kingdom, will Shivansh be able to keep his promise,

All three : what horrific tragedy had struck here and what is inside the ancient book. Why is Prarthana here and how is she related to a this.

In a far away place in the mountains there is a women in her late 50s or early 60s was visiting a Durga temple praying for her kingdom. All she wished is the curse goes away soon and Shivansh finds a suitable bride for himself and a mother figure for Dev. She prays to ma Durga to relieve her and her people of curse.

Then a saintly lady appears front of Rajrajeshwari Devi and tells her the Panditji will meet her.

Rajrajeshwari Devi bends down and touches the old priests feet and says please tell me any remedy for my kingdom .

The Panditji says times are tough right now but with integrity, strength, teamwork and resilience will help them get through this. Rajrajeshwari says yes pandit but is there any puja or havan we do. Panditji say Rajrajeshwari if Yuvraj gets married then possibly the Dosha in his kundali can get cancelled and it will help him solve the problem. Rajrajeshwari says I have tried to play matchmaker for him over the years and he turns down every proposal saying he is not ready , he must focus on his duty. Pandit says tell Shivansh it’s his duty to get married for his kingdom. It is duty to break the curse and he can only do with help a life partner. Rajarajeshwari nods and touches Panditji feet then takes his leave. As she is walking to her chariot her resolution intensify for her people. In addition giving her a new hope and courage to save her kingdom. She gets on to the chariot and leaves her maternal land to her kingdom with a new hope and purpose.

Precap: Rajshri return, she learns about Prarthana and about what Pagli had to say about the curse.

I am surprised that shivansh had planned to show prarthana as Jay's detective sister in law who has come there to solve the mysteries. Prarthana couldn't read the inscription. But i feel that mysterious secrets are hidden in it..Pagli asking questions and shivansh giving her correct answers was nice.i am surprised that she said that both have to make sacrifices to break the curse.i wonder what the sacrifices are.i am surprised that shivansh has to get married to be a King and break the curse.i am surprised that even prarthana will have to marry as only a married woman can read the mysterious book locked in the ancient book.i think prashiv will get married.I am surprised that rajrajeshwari devi had tried and failed to get shivansh married.
